Prince Gavin couldn't help but stare at him while Princess Mariah immediately looked at him, widely. "What do you mean, Your Highness?"

"I...I am trying to tell you that, I would win this game, and then give you the prize as a capital, Princess."

Princess Mariah instinctively stood up.

Prince Alan, however, disrupted the silence, "I would let Mawdelyn win instead."

Everyone's eyes were directly on him but Esmeralda cut the tension by saying, "Well, I know I will have to drink two glasses of brandy now for saying this."

Princess Mariah looked at the valet and her eyes widened, now recognising the valet to be the young princess.
