บท 20: Chapter 20: The warning
The seniors then went forth and merge themselves with the crowd. It's been a while that they are having their own free time from their jobs and are quite liking it. They get to meet with their dear ones.
While the seniors were meeting with their loved ones and friends.
Shuzo's father Akihiro and Leina's mother Roulan went up to meet their kids.
They were thrilled with joy to see the two of them from afar. They were quite happy to see them being together and getting well.
Akihiro, the father of Shuzo is a man in his late forties. Because that he is of Japanese origin, he has these nice beautiful eyes, a sharp nose and a well-built body.
He was looking tall, handsome and smart as senior officials of the Special unit should be.
Even though Akihiro was a senior, he has this charming smile on him which makes him looks rather friendly and kind.
Roulan, the mother of Leina, on the side, has keen, stormy eyes and was fit and strong.
She has sharp and strict looks in her as compared to her fiance, Akihiro which is rather calm.
Roulan has all the good features on her, making her look impressive.
Even though she is in her late forties, she seemed to maintain her body very well.
Her body is still fit and strong and in shape.
As the two walked towards them, Shuzo and Cuifen were keenly eyeing them.
Upon seeing his handsome son, Akihiro's face brightened up revealing his big broad smile. He then declared out in happiness, "Yo! My son, look at you!"
Shuzo shooked his head at it and smile handsomely.
He couldn't believe the witty behaviour of his father.
He is too cheesy. His face says it all that he is quite proud of his handsome son.
Shuzo turned to look at his proud father's smile and called him in composure, "Father"
Akihiro pats his hands onto his son's broad shoulder and declared in enthusiasm, "So..how's my son doing lately?! Is everything going well?!"
Shuzo smiled it off and replied in obedience, "Everything's a good father"
Akihiro then turned to Leina and inquired in concern, "Then..what about you Leina?! You are feeling better now?!"
Cuifen anxiously shooked her head at it and replied in confusion, "Ahh...yes, I am feeling better"
Wanting to get along with the kids, Akihiro tried his best to lift the mood.
He turned to Leina and started being playful, "I didn't know that our Leina would be a good stylist as well"
"Look at you, looking so pretty like a cute doll", he then laughs it off.
Cuifen feeling nervous about how to respond to it she just smiled, "Yes...yes..!"
Cuifen's mother Roulan on the side was not liking how her daughter is dressing up.
She was not acting and dressing the way she wants her to do.
Wanting to teach her the lesson, she glances down at her and questioned in sharpness, "That isn't you normally dress"
Cuifen was feeling troubled by the sudden question of her mother.
Her words clearly say that she doesn't like the fact that she dressed up for the party.
Leina was struggling with what to answer to it.
Amused by his fiance's conduct, Akihiro turned to her and interrupted, "Oh common Roulan, don't be hard on her?! Doesn't she looks good on it?! It's okay to change her dressing style at times"
He was merely comforting Roulan at it.
Roulan, on the side, was not quite liking the fact that Akihiro is supporting her daughter's dressing style. Therefore, she turned and look at his eyes and declared in frustration, "Akihiro?! You know this place and how it works?!"
She barely raised her voice on it that everyone started to turn at them.
Noticing it all, Akihiro's face instantly turned to that of serious ones and enunciated in observance, "Let's talk somewhere else!"
Puzzled by it, Roulan turned to look around and noticed that everyone is staring at them.
She quickly turned and the four of them soon went out from there and moved towards an empty space.
There, Akihiro stands aside giving them space while Roulan spoke up to her daughter in concern, "Leina, take a look around, most of the women in the party didn't even wear a skirt or a dress, they mostly wear pants. Do you know why is that?! It's because this place, Vega is a place for the special units where the strongest and the fittest survive!"
Cuifen was attending to it all, while Roulan continues, "With you wearing a cute dress, would only make you look vulnerable and portrayed as a weak woman. There are really bad guys out there and you don't want to catch their attention do you?!"
Cuifen was having it hard to swallow all the words she just said, "How is wearing a skirt making her look vulnerable?! And above it all, she only wears it for that day?!"
Wanting to make things clear with her, Cuifen turned to Roulan and argued, "How is wearing a skirt portrayed as weak?! Furthermore, it is only today that I am wearing this outfit?!"
Roulan couldn't believe the words of her daughter. How in the world is she so naive to think that everything will be good in this world, where they are on the verge of the end of the world?!
Wanting to sort things clear, she turned to her daughter and spoke to her in seriousness, "Leina, listen...the Vega we are staying here right now, the party we are at right now, no one can tell how long will this last! The world is now in chaos and so is inside the Vega!"
Akihiro was left triggered by her words, Roulan was careless that she would have accidentally spit out all the confidential words if she continues.
Therefore, he immediately hold Roulan's back and turned to look at her in the eyes as if he is hinting her to stop there, that she spoke too much.
Cuifen was left disturbed by the words she just say that she turned to her mother and inquired in curiosity, "What do you mean by it?! Why is Vega in chaos?!"
Shuzo was too left in curiosity that he turned to them, waiting for their reply.
Roulan and Akihiro turned to look at each other troubledly.
Akihiro shooked his head in tension, while his worried eyes were staring at Roulan as if he is signalling her to hold it in.
Acknowledging it, Roulan turned to look at the kids and shared wittily, "Since the outside world is in chaos, there is no telling if anything would happen at any moment. Therefore, be always vigilant and dressed up at your most comfortable self! You don't want to be running in a short skirt while the zombies are after your life, do you?!"
Roulan smartly turned the table around into a complete favourable one that Akihiro breathe a relief.
