Throughout the ride to the main event, the roses were silently stealing glances at each other, their eyes speaking words that Hamon's countenance had to forbid. The tension in the air was so thick and palpable that they all remained rigid in their seats for fear of disrupting whatever balance had been set in place and also as not to roughen up their gowns.

Adriana wasn't paying any heed to the furtive glances they threw her way. She had a lot on her mind and had a lot of things to plan without any sense of direction whatsoever as to what order everything was to take place. There were a lot of 'what ifs' and 'hows', there were a lot of questions and uncertain probabilities as to how everything revolved around her.
