บท 32: AMBUSH

Adriana jerked upwards from her bed and just in time to see as the figures threw shurikens with frightening force and velocity.

Without enough time to spare, Adriana managed to bend her whole body back as far as it could go, and was almost grateful to see three shurikens fly over her head and into the wall behind her.

One of the shurikens nicked her in the shoulder before lodging itself amongst its fellow killing-shurikens. Ignoring the stinging calls in her right shoulder, Adriana levered herself back up to face the figures.

Abaddon's eyes were glowing brighter than usual in a deep midnight blue colour in such a way that it matched his hair and formerly black skin. He had drawn out his blade and was approaching the figures with red-blooded eyes with menace.
