Recently, we have heard discussions within writer communities regarding the use of AI or drawing inspiration from Chinese novels for original works on our platform. Here, we would like to express WebNovel's stance:
1. Firstly, we cannot deny the progressive impact of AI on literary creation. Writers can utilize AI in various scenarios such as grammar corrections, basic editing, providing inspiration, and more.
2. Secondly, it is important to clarify that AI does not possess its own thoughts; it can only generate content based on existing materials. Therefore, AI may raise concerns regarding originality and copyright.
Therefore, WebNovel explicitly states that we do not welcome AI-generated works in the following circumstances:
Clearly using AI to plagiarize, mix, or splice other works.Clearly using AI for translation without the writer being able to prove the originality of the work.Using AI to fill word count, including inserting irrelevant content or lengthy, meaningless descriptions.
For works displaying clear traces of AI involvement, including but not limited to the above behaviors, and for works reported for excessive AI use, WebNovel reserves the right to take down such works upon verification. In the case of contracted works, we will deduct relevant royalties from the author upon takedown.

Kotvslape Guys there is a problem I used to use AI in the first chapters to translate and correct grammar now I stopped doing that after about 8.2 BUT I have a question Web Novel didn't accidentally remove the work with Too much AI? I don't use AI now but there are chapters with AI in the first chapters? And do you see AI in the first chapters? I was editing at the time so it didn't feel like AI.
