Silence befell the arena. Everyone was too shocked to reply to Lucien's taunt.
Lucien looked at everyone present with a smirk. He turned to his mother, Marigold's hands were trembling.
Her emerald green eyes moistened up and her lips quivered seeing her son awaken not just one but three powerful affinities.
'She looks happy,' Lucien thought as his smirk faded, replaced by a small, genuine smile. He slowly began walking, the infernal hell hounds following closely behind.
STEP STEP STEP
Felix gritted his teeth in anger, his hands trembling. His heart ached in agony watching Lucien, and his mind raced to think of the possibilities.
'It must be a lie! The duke must have made something up. There's no way that dumb shit has more talent than me. Yes, it's all a lie,' he consoled himself.
Just as he was about to retort and humiliate Lucien, a firm hand grasped his shoulder. He looked over to see his father, a count. His pale blue eyes draped in malice while watching Lucien.
"Not now," he commanded. "Let him have his fun for a while."Lucien slowly walked towards Marigold with the hounds behind him.
Upon reaching her, he slowly extended his hands, looking at his mother, who seemed to be in a daze.
"Mother?" Lucien called out.
"Huh!?" Marigold woke up from her stupor and turned around to see the people, who were all staring at her son with jealousy and admiration.
"Ignore them, mother."Marigold turned towards her son, her lips quivering, her eyes moist with happiness.
She nodded her head and took his hand. They both walked out of the arena and headed to their room.
CLICK
Lucien closed the door behind him and turned around to see his mother sitting on the bed, seemingly in a daze.
'Hehehe' A perverted smile bloomed on his face as he slowly walked over to her on his toes.
Marigold didn't see Lucien coming and only stared at the window.
Lucien, upon reaching his mother, swiftly moved his hands and placed them on her breasts and pinched her nipples.
"Ahnn~"
Marigold moaned loudly as she snapped out of her daze. Her eyes bulged open and her cheeks flushed in red.
"Lucien, why did you do that?" She said in a high pitched voice glaring at her son and covered her breasts with her hands.
"Hehehe" Lucien watched Marigold's cheeks redden in embarrassment. 'Its always fun teasing her.'
"I wanted to wake you up from your stupor" he muttered while lowering his head a little, his eyes moistened up as crocodile tears began to flow from the corners of his eyes, "I am sorry."
Marigold's expression softened up watching him cry. She then hugged her son, pressing him against her soft bossom.
"I am sorry, it's just that I am too surprised today." She mumbled, recalling the earlier incident on the stage.
Lucien, who was experiencing heaven, separated himself from his mother. He the placed his hands on her shoulder and looked at her solemnly,
"Get used to it, mother. In the future I will make them worship us like gods."
Marigold's eyes trembled looking at the deep blue eyes staring at her. If anyone else had said those words, she might have dismissed them, calling them crazy.
But looking at his serious demeanor, she thought he could achieve it.
Lucien smiled lightly, as he noticed his mother's reaction. 'Don't worry mother. I will conquer this world and become its emperor and you… my empress.'
...
The next day, Lucien was called by his father, the duke, to his office. He was now standing in front of him
Edmind stared at his son with a calm demeanor, yet his eyes contained a slight glint. A small smile adorned his stern face, thinking to himself that he had a useful heir.
"Do you know why I have called you?" Edmund asked.
"Yes" Lucien answered while nodding his head.
"Oh!" Edmund exclaimed, surprised. He didn't think that Lucien would know what happened.
"My guess is that the academy from the Verdant empire wanted me to attend the academy as a student." Lucien flatly replied.
"How did you..?" Edmund was stunned. He didn't think Lucien would get it right.
"It's actually obvious, the present king is the strongest person from the royal family since its inception and the noble faction had become too weak for the empire to use. So I'm the only choice remaining."
"Hahaha! You are right. They want to use you as their pawn and make you go against the king. So, what will you do?"
Edmund stared at his son, scrutinizing him, 'Will you refuse and become a dog to the king or will you choose a bigger master to serve?'
"I will go." Lucien answered immediately.
"Why?" Edmund's face scrunched up, clearly disappointed by his son's answer.
"I am their hook, so they will definitely use a special 'bait'" Lucien answered while smiling mysteriously.
Edmund thought about Lucien's words for a moment, before his face lit up like a bulb and a knowing smile appeared on his face, "You are cruel."
"As one should be" Lucien replied.
"The princess huh!" Edmund muttered as he recalled the names of the imperial princesses.
Edmund nodded his head repeatedly while thinking about Lucien's plan. "Alright, you can go. You will have to attend the academy when you are fourteen. I will write them a letter. You can stay here until then."
"Father, I have a request."
Edmund narrowed his eyes as he looked at his son and replied, "what is it?"
"I wish to leave the main mansion and live remotely with my mother."
Edmund's eyes narrowed further as he stared at his son, not understanding why he was asking this.
"Won't you be in more danger if you stay outside the mansion."
Lucien nodded his head in agreement and answered, "Yes I will be safe here. But staying here would leak information about me, wouldn't it?"
Edmund had no answer to this since nobles kept spies with them willingly. Either to give false information or the other party is too powerful.
He nodded his head reluctantly and nudged his head, telling Lucien to continue.
"You can use my location as bait. Although you won't catch the smart ones, you can at least catch the stupid ones"
"But doing that would make us suspicious in front of the royal family." Edmund asked, he unknowingly began to treat him as a grown man.
Lucien smiled widened into a grin as he muttered, "That's what I want"
"Why?"
But the question wasn't from Edmund. The voice came behind Lucien.
Lucien swiftly turned around only to see Rowena, his grandmother staring at him while sipping tea.
'When did this GILF get here?'
