บท 7: Chapter 7: Memory Gun
Dipper's POV
I got gold from Jeff, but I don't really intend to use it to buy souvenirs and just leave.
The gold obtained from Jeff is for future objectives.
I'll need to buy equipment later. I'm going to use old McGucket to get the materials, but for that, I need money. That's where the gold comes in.
I can indeed steal stuff, but that will end up attracting attention. Stan understood this too late in the original story.
I need to be methodical and, if possible, do things legally.
"Wait here, I'll go get the memories," the man declares before leaving me alone.
It seems this man lied. This place isn't the Society of the Blind Eye base shown in the show. I'm just in an old house in the forest.
I'll have to capture him after our transaction.
"This is all our memory stock," the man declares after returning with a wheelbarrow full of tubes containing the memories of many people.
I didn't see any interesting identities in the lot. I just retrieved Rick Sanchez's, which I had seen earlier, and slowly approached the man.
"I'd like to take this one, but also..."
*ziiip* electrical sounds.
I didn't finish my words as I electrocuted the man with my electric gloves.
"Sorry, old man, I really want to know where you got this stuff," I say as I tie him up before leaving in the same direction he had taken before.
This led me to the Gravity Falls museum, but more precisely behind it. There seems to be a secret passage not mentioned in the show here.
I looked around and saw a brick on the wall with the Society of the Blind Eye symbol. I pressed it and was able to enter their base.
I started to advance cautiously with a "donner" in my hand since I had to be prepared. The power of the Memory Gun is dangerous for me.
"Today again, we've had a busy evening," declares a member of the Society of the Blind Eye. He must be their leader since he looks like the one shown in the show.
I ignored their speech and simply threw a paralyzing grenade.
Of course, I had made sure the Memory Gun wasn't affected by my grenade. I really want to avoid damaging this thing.
"Now that I have this thing, I can be slightly more reckless in my future actions," I mutter as I tie up the members of the Society of the Blind Eye.
I had to gather and visualize all their memories concerning Rick Sanchez, but also Gravity Falls. I was able to learn where they met Rick and other information.
The meeting between Rick and the Society of the Blind Eye took place next to the alien ship, judging by the appearance of the place, according to what I understood from Rick's memory video and those of the Society of the Blind Eye members.
Rick Sanchez had some trouble with his machine called "portal gun". He wanted to go to the alien ship to get elements necessary for its repair.
That's all the memory contained in Rick's glass tube, according to the memories of the Society of the Blind Eye.
They took Rick for an ordinary citizen who encountered the supernatural by chance, so they erased his memory related to the alien ship. But Rick was able to quickly grasp the situation despite his lost memory and attacked them.
The result is predictable: Rick beat them and tied them up to finally erase their memory.
I don't know why he didn't kill the members of the Society of the Blind Eye, but the memories stop there.
I guess he's not Rick 137, but a calmer Rick, or he simply wasn't in the mood to kill. He's a difficult individual to understand.
I'm talking about a man who killed a lot of people just because someone used his toilet without his permission.
"I won't learn more from them. I also doubt I can get Rick's DNA where they fought," I say, sighing in front of the screen that allows visualizing the memories.
I end up erasing the memory of the Society of the Blind Eye people and left with old McGucket's memory and that of Preston Northwest.
I visualized Preston's memory and it's an excellent blackmail tool against the Northwest family.
"If I want to hope to get Rick's DNA, I should check the alien ship side," I mentally conclude during my return home.

3 days later
Not much happened during these 3 days. I just conducted experiments in my room, played with Mabel, and did physical training.
I decided to exploit the potential of my new body. It's not just for the fun that I'm training, but for important future reasons.
My young body is too weak, I doubt I can perform experiments on it under these conditions.
I need to train it a bit. I also invented an exoskeleton. For now, my endurance problems during a mission are solved, but it's mentally exhausting to use.
It connects to my nervous system when I wear it, and I was inspired by the robotics of the One Piece world, but also Earth technology to create it. I can control it thanks to a chip behind my neck.
I should upgrade it later or replace it with nanomachines. I'm not too fond of cybernetic implants like in Cyberpunk.
Besides that, I created a close combat weapon from the apocalyptic universe of "Leviathan".
I wanted to create a lightsaber, but I would have to worry about the energy problem very often, and I already have the two "donners" that are extremely energy-consuming.

*knock knock*
"It's open," I say after hiding my notes in a safe I recently made.
There was a few questions about the sudden existing of this safe in my room, but I just said I found it randomly in the forest and, since it's Gravity Falls, my excuse was easily accepted.
"Dipper, come see! Soos found something interesting," Mabel declares, pulling me by the hand, but without success.
I only started training recently, but I literally use nutritional products and some drugs based on Vegapunk's knowledge, so these 3 days largely gave me strength equivalent to an adult.
I'd even say I'm currently physically stronger than an average adult, the drugs I consume just require a lot of food and rest.
"You've gotten stronger?" Mabel asks, confused.
"Yes, I exercise to be able to quickly finish the tasks Uncle Stan gives me," I say, a half-truth, walking ahead.
"So, what did you want to show me?" I ask before going down the stairs.
"Oh! I almost forgot," she says quickly before guiding me to a room hidden by wallpaper.
"I found this thing when I was cleaning the Mystery Shack," Soos explains, looking at the statues around him.
"I find this place has a... particular atmosphere," I say, looking at the living wax statues pretending to be motionless.
I wonder if I can sell them at the Gravity Falls supernatural market. I remember there's a witch in Gravity Falls looking for company.
I can exchange magical knowledge with her for these stupid statues, but I have to do it before the others discover their true nature.
"Now that you mention it, Dipper, the atmosphere here is a bit weird," Soos declares in a low voice.
"No, it's just that Dipper is paranoid," Mabel responds, heading towards another statue.
"You're free to believe me or not. I'm going to inform Uncle Stan of our discovery."
I should if possible prevent Uncle Stan from knowing about the wax statues, but unfortunately, I met him in the hallway with a can.
"It seems you've discovered my statues," he says enthusiastically.
It looks like I'll have to use the Memory Gun on him and the others if I want to deal with this wax statue story in peace.
