บท 36: Chapter 34: Battle of Japan Part 4

It's been four weeks since their arrival of Japan, to discuss with their new emperor, experiencing ambushes along the way, meet unexpected new allies and now here they are. Defending the mountain that can be saved the whole nation of Japan. They were surrounded and fought everything they have to survive this occupation.

As the night settled over the Mountain of Shiroyama, the group gathered around a small fire, their tired eyes reflecting the flickering light. John, leaned forward, his gaze focused on the distant mountain pass.

John sat alone at the top of the mountain Shiroyama, the weight of the Ame no Habakiri katana resting on his shoulders. The ancient blade, forged by the holy deities of Japan, seemed to hum with power, as if urging him to take action.

"We have been granted a rare opportunity," he said, his voice filled with determination. "The orcish army is vulnerable at the moment. With proper planning and swift execution, we can turn the tide of this war."

His words stirred a spark of hope in the hearts of his comrades. Vincent was busy checking his pistol and the katana, listening intently. Sora, already planning his stealthy moves in his mind. Carthan, , nodded with silent approval. And General Kingston, watching them silently.

"But what about Orc Burzum?" Garok the orcish rebel leader questioned, his sharp tusks gleaming faintly in the darkness. "He has hundreds of soldiers at his disposal."

John leaned back, contemplating the challenge that lay ahead. "It won't be an easy task, Garok. But if we can eliminate the orc shamans first, we can veil our presence with an illusion, catching them off guard."

"They rely heavily on their shamans," Garok nodded. "Without their magic, the orcs will lose focus and unity."

The group fell into a hushed discussion, strategizing every detail of their plan. John outlined each step carefully, considering every angle and potential obstacle. Vincent offered his keen eyes to scout the orcish camp, while Sora suggested setting up traps along the mountain pass.

Carthan, his grip tightening around the hilt of his sword, voiced his concern. "We must be cautious. One wrong move, and our entire force could be wiped out by their sheer numbers."

General Kingston, nodded in agreement. "Carthan is right. We should avoid unnecessary casualties. A surprise attack will only succeed if we strike with precision and speed."

John nodded in agreement, reminding everyone that patience was key. "We shall gather our strength and rest. The time will come when the orcish army least expects it. We strike then, with unwavering determination."

After that, they left to call of a day, but John's mind was elsewhere, lost in memories of his mentor, Eron K. Arisato. Eron was a wise and experienced warrior, teaching John not only the art of swordsmanship but also the war of tactics and strategies needed to outsmart his enemies. His lessons echoed in John's thoughts now, as he sought a way to overthrow the orcs that threatened Japan.

Eron had taught him that understanding the enemy and using the terrain to his advantage was key. With this knowledge, John devised a plan: charge forward before the orcs had a chance to fight back, throwing them into disarray. His soldiers would be strategically placed on all sides, using the cover of night to their advantage.

Vincent would lead his men from the left side, while Cathan will command his soldiers from the right. John himself would lead the charge from the front, wielding the Ame no Habakiri with unparalleled skill. And finally, Orc Garok and his orcish soldiers would ambush the enemy from behind at their camp.

This plan, carefully crafted and coordinated, would mark the end of the war that had plagued Japan for far too long. John, filled with determination and a burning desire for justice, mustered his soldiers and prepared for the final battle.

(Meanwhile)

Deep within the rugged mountain pass of Mount Shiroyama, Orc Burzum, a fierce and cunning warlord, commanded an army of one million loyal soldiers. With their sharpened axes and relentless determination, they had invaded the lands of Japan, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

Unbeknownst to Burzum, his forces had become trapped in the narrow pass, surrounded by a group of rebels composed of humans and orcish fighters led by John, Vincent, Cathan, and the brave Garok. Determined to free their homeland from the clutches of the orcish invaders, they had devised a clever plan to end Burzum's invasion once and for all.

As the sun sank below the horizon, John, Vincent, Cathan, and Garok gathered their soldiers on the opposing hillsides surrounding the orcish camp below. They had chosen this moment precisely, as Burzum and his officials believed that darkness would cloak their movements and provide opportunity for rest. With a nod from John, they silently prepared to charge the unprepared orcish horde.

In the heart of the orcish camp, Burzum paced back and forth, his enormous figure a testament to his power. He had subjugated countless lands, but he had come to know that the people of Japan were resilient and fiercely protective of their homeland. Still, he could never have imagined that he would find himself so entirely surrounded and vulnerable.

With their guerilla attacks dwindling their forces and the supplies were running thin, he expected this to happen, but never expected how so effective they performed in such a short time. They experience this kind of situation before, yet not this one.

Burzum ordered his soldiers to rest, and double the watch to preparing for another onslaught and raids in the coming days. He trusted his warriors and believed victory was within their grasp. Little did he know that fate had painted a different picture for him.

Sora, and Vincent along with their 100 riflemen quickly disposed the guards one by one, firing their silencers snipers and John created 25 clones then quietly removing the shamans from their tents before they dispel and Cathan casted the spell from the enemy camp.

As they finished eliminating the shamans and guards. The opportunity they are waiting for has come.

John stood at the head of the main army, his eyes fixed on the towering mountain pass that lay before them. Vincent's Army stood at the left side of the pass, their swords gleaming in the sunlight. Cathan's Army lurked silently behind the pass, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. On the right side, Orc Garok and his rebel orcs sensed victory in the air, their war chants echoing through the valley.

Finally, the opportune moment arrived, like a door opening amidst the chaos of war. The orc shamans, weary from casting relentless spells, found respite beneath the passing moon. The sound of their drums resonated in the silence, a prelude to the battle that awaited them.

From his hidden vantage point, John raised his weapon high above his head, ready to signal the charge. Thanks for John's clones stealth skills, Vincent and Sora along with his men's marksmanships, they managed to kill the guards and shamans quietly, Cathan put them the illusion before conducting the assault. With a resounding cry, he unleashed the fury of their allied forces upon the unsuspecting orcish horde.

The stage was set for an epic battle. John raised his sword high, signaling an all-out attack. John let out a war cry and lead the charge while his men following him behind. His war cry was so loud, it almost sound like a lion prepare to meet his prey. The noise heard the entire mountain pass, causing the orcs woke up from their sleep to see what's the commotion all about.

When they saw John and his men descending from the mountain pass, they quickly armed themselves to meet them but, it's not the main army they were facing with.

Vincent's Army thundered across the field; their rifles were shone like meteor shower as they showered Burzum's wakey forces with deadly precision. The sound of bullets pounding against the earth reverberated through the valley.

Pandemonium erupted throughout the pass as the humans and rebel orcs descended upon the orcish camp like a tempest of fire, sabers, rifles and axes gleaming in the moonlit night before them . Chaos ensued as the groggy orc soldiers, caught off guard, stumbled out of their makeshift tents to face the ruthless assault from all sides.

At that very moment, Cathan's forces burst from behind the mountain pass, catching the enemy off guard. The element of surprise worked in their favor as they swiftly dispatched Burzum's bewildered soldiers. Chaos erupted among the ranks of the enemy as they struggled to regroup.

On the right side, Garok and his rebel orcs charged forward, shouting battle cries that struck fear into the hearts of Burzum's awaken troops. Garok swung his mighty axe, cleaving through enemy lines and inspiring his fellow orcs to fight with newfound purpose.

Back on the mountain pass, Sora and his riflemen took aim at any enemy soldiers attempting to flee the upcoming armies below. With every shot, a soldier fell, their plan to catch their enemy leader completely off guard slowly falling into place.

Garok and his men fought with a vengeance. Though raised in the orcish society, he had seen the corruption and cruelty that plagued their ranks. He vowed to protect his newfound allies and restore honor to his race. With each swing of his mighty axe, he cleaved through the orcish ranks, inspiring his fellow rebels to fight with renewed zeal.

Burzum awoke from his slumber to the sound of loudest war cry he ever heard, the battle cries and clashing weapons. His eyes widened in disbelief as he saw his forces being overwhelmed by the relentless onslaught. His officials desperately tried to rally the troops, but fear permeated their every command as the rebels fought with unmatched determination.

As the battle waged on, the tides turned swiftly against the once mighty orcish army. The alliance of men and orcs fought with an unyielding resolve, their determination rivaling that of Burzum's forces, which had grown weary from their conquests.

Amidst the chaos, John led his main army straight toward Burzum's position. Their ranks pushed forward, their battle cries echoing through the valley. John's determination shone brightly in his eyes.

Finally, the moment arrived. Burzum, realizing his army was on the brink of defeat, rallied his remaining troops and faced John head-on. The clash of steel filled the air as the two leaders locked in fierce combat.
