Before the clock struck half past three, Lucas slowly returned to the cafe. He didn't notice that he had been staying outdoors for quite a long time. Ethan might already arrive home.
Lucas didn't rush his steps. He took the time to look around him, at the place he had been living for more than two months already.
Not even once Lucas regretted moving here from Michael's spacious apartment. Even though his own place was rather small, living there gave him a sense of fulfillment.
Despite knowing he had his share of effort to achieve what he had right now, he couldn't forget that the one who extended the olive branch for him to change was her.
"I better hurry."
Lucas quickened the pace of his footsteps. He held his injured left arm with his right hand to avoid it dangling awkwardly by his side. His movement was still stiff.
Harris the wingman! XD
