บท 33: Chapter 33 - Level 2
Now that everything was back to normal and only occasionally one could see someone flying through the air at an incredible speed, Kyle went into his tent and started working out the plan for his next move.
He had to break through this time, that would let him reach Foundation Establishment as well reach level 2. The problem was that Lighting Step was bottlenecking his progress with Dominion Technique. The book said that the layers of the dominion technique were not related to the cultivation level, but it would ease the understanding of the Dominion Technique. Plus it would make it much easier to cultivate. Each higher layer had more profound and more perfect systems that would boost cultivation speed by multiple times as well as reach speed and power multiple times as well.
He own understanding and insight would have to be used in order to ponder and understand the techniques, the pearl and the system couldn't help him with this directly.
Kyle's main way to improve would be to grow in levels and search for any lighting elements and beasts that would provide him with it. In reality, Kyle thought that it would be quite easy considering the number of different beasts that existed, but lighting was rare to begin with. This meant that Kyle had to travel to specific forests or parts of the world to find the correct environment for beats to get insights into the lighting element.
Kyle was still happy to reach higher levels, so he took out the hedgehog body outside of the tent. It was massive, and the place where Wave of Conviction passed didn't even bleed, it was a simple and very surgical kill. Kyle was happy that his proficiency started to improve, and he can hunt so efficiently. Looking at the empty back with no spikes reminded Kyle of all the spikes. His body still didn't recover and was hurting all over with qi constantly repairing the skin and tissue.
As Kyle started rotating the qi inside of his body, he accepted the absorption of the hedgehog energy.
The Qi Condensation realm required to make their qi into a vast and strong lake that could annihilate cities with its power. This was done by allowing the natural energy of the world to get into one's body and to accumulate and purify it in the already existing qi. This is exactly why Kyle practised the movement technique as well as breathing technique every day with absorbing and refining his qi. This was a quantity process.
The next step was Foundation Establishment that would take all of the qi in the body and would make it much richer and smaller in size by cultivating with the movements described. This was a quality process.
After the Foundation Establishment is at its peak, the Golden Core realm would follow. That realm was one of the breaking points for most of the beings in the world of Game. If one reached the Golden Core, they would already be in the top of the food chain.
The Golden Core allowed one to extend their life to at least 500 years which was more than enough to live comfortably and also it gave incredible powers that allowed one to dominate an entire region and even become a king in some. This realm asked from the cultivator to take all the high-quality qi they have acquired and shape it into a solid sphere of qi. It was a tough process, the one that took countless lives from this world.
Kyle stopped his line of thought as at the moment. He had to focus on what is at hand for him. That was breaking into the Foundation Establishment Realm.
Kyle looked at the hedgehog, and the qi and energy started to get into his body. The small whirlpool appeared above them. Even though it was shocking, after Kyle saw the level 3 energy of spider and ogre and what absorbing them have caused, this was considered nothing for him.
Kyle felt that the energy that he was absorbing was going into his dantian, but he couldn't understand why his qi level and nor the purple EXP tank inside the pearl are not going up. It was as if the energy was disappearing. It was already considered confusing why he was stuck at level 1 and 99% for so long even though he was consuming so much energy from the beasts.
'Oh I remember, there was something about the bottleneck that system said when I reached the peak.' Kyle tried to remember.
[ Congratulations on reaching the peak of Level 1, break the bottleneck to Level 2 ]
'This means that I need to force my body somehow to level up; let's see if this hedgehogs energy would be enough.' As Kyle looked at the body that was disappearing and only a little bit of energy left, he felt down.'It would be hard to hunt stronger level 2 beast considering how cunning and powerful they are. Maybe I can bulk up the level 1 beasts?'
Just as Kyle was already down and contemplating how he should go on about this, three notifications have resounded.
[ Lucky Charm has been used! ]
[ Bottleneck has been resolved! ]
[ Congratulations on reaching Level 2!]
As the notifications resounded, a huge change started happening inside Kyle's body. The biggest one coming from the pearl. It was pulsating and giving out the power that Kyle has never felt. It was something raw and untamed, something that gave Kyle goosebumps. After the pearl has been pulsating for one minute, it suddenly stopped. Kyle was about to carry on to see what were the results of his breakthrough, but after a careful search, he didn't see anything different it was is if he didn't break up just yet.
Kyle withdrew from the spiritual sense to walk around and wait, but when he opened his eyes, he was shocked. There in front of him was the same forest, but the leaves and everything around him suddenly stopped. It was as if the time has stopped. 'This is just like when I fought with the Lion and was able to touch on to the concept of time, but this is taking it to the extreme. Kyle stood up and tried to walk around, but at this exact moment, the pearl pupated one more time and released this raw energy out. It used Kyle as the medium and released it to the outside.
Unbelievable pain that caused Kyle to scream in agony released. Kyle couldn't control or do anything. He thought that his body is about to explode. He couldn't be able to bear it any longer, and so he lost his consciousness. The orange energy kept on releasing from the pearl. It was as if an atomic bomb has dropped, with Kyle being in the centre of the explosion.
Everything surrounding Kyle has been wiped in an instant; everything was dead and scorched.
Kyle couldn't see anything; he was unconscious and was travelling right now in the depths of his mind.

บท 34: Chapter 34 - To Live
After Kyle dropped unconscious, he got transported to a realm that he has never seen before. In this realm, there was nothingness, only black earth that stretched as long as the eyes could see.
There, in the far distance was a man that looked like he was walking on earth, but if one looked closely one could see that he was, in reality, walking just above it, gliding on the air. He was carrying two buckets of water in both hands, one was white as milk and had lighting in it, the other was white and yellow with small dragons roaring and swimming in it.
The man was walking very slowly, it seemed as if he was trying to go slow, but in reality, he was travelling at unbelievable speed.
The man suddenly stopped and looked in the Kyle direction before a second has passed. He was already standing right next to Kyle. Kyle was unconscious, and he was standing there, blankly with closed eyes.
Kyle was not able to understand anything right now. He was still recovering from the pain that he has just experienced. All of this was just like a dream for him.
The man looked at Kyle and said, "Finally, a good seedling that inherited my Dominion Technique." The man smiled warmly as if he was looking at the grandson or a child of his that he dearly loved.
"I see that you got recruited from earth… Even better. You now finally will be able to show the world who you are." The man gave Kyle another look and suddenly gasped in shock. He placed his hand onto Kyle's stomach directly where his dantian was and closed his eye.
"So you somehow managed to get the Sky Seizing Pearl? All the gods have been going crazy for the past trillion years trying to find it. It has been regarded as lost and forgotten, and it has finally appeared here?" The man's eyes were looking at Kyle's dantian and the treasure with lust and desire in his eyes. But after a second, he went back to normal. "Ahahah," he started laughing, "to think that a junior of my, To Live, world of Game would get as lucky as to find a Sky Seizing Pearl! This is simply fantastic."
The man stepped back and regained his composure. He put his hands in the clapping motion and said, "Now I understand why you are here. This is Sky Seizing Pearl beginning its awakening. I will be waiting for you, Kyle Lin here on heaven. I hope that together we can finally accomplish my goal." With this said, he waved his hand and Kyle suddenly lost connection to that world.
He woke up at the same place as before. His body was still numb, and every cell was hurting. When he opened his eyes, it was as if he had the world's worst hangover ever, and everything was hurting. His head was spinning, and he wanted to vomit.
Once Kyle reopened his eyes, he couldn't understand what exactly happened here.
The vast green range that was surrounding him and the beginning of the forest where he hunted was nowhere to be seen. The only thing that surrounded him was a crater of earth and rocks with Kyle being in the middle of it. 'What the hell happened here? Was I transported to somewhere?'
Of course, the tent that Kyle had was disintegrated as well. Nothing was left of it.
Kyle climbed up to the top of the crater to see where he was and what he saw really made him gasp in shock. He was at the same green land, but the crater the size of 10 kilometres in diameter suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Plus the forest that he was exploring also got hit, and most of the areas that he explored were already gone.
Kyle remembered that there was a trap door the last time that he revealed using his lucky charm and the trap door was just on the outskirts of the explosion, still intact.'I don't want even to think about what I could have possibly released from there if the explosion hit it as well. I really wonder what happened here.' Kyle looked around and couldn't really get any clues. Then he sat down in the meditation position to see if he suffered any damage from the explosion. The only thing that remembers now was him losing consciousness due to the extreme energy pulses of the pearl.
Kyle looked around again after he remembered the violent orange energy that pearl was radiating. He blinked a couple of times, "No way! That is impossible!' Kyle didn't want to believe that something inside his body could create such a huge wreck.
Just as Kyle thought about meditating to check his insides, it is when it hit him.'I have to run now! I can not stay close to this place. The explosion of this size might have been seen from the flying rock city that passed, maybe one of the cultivators that could fly could come. Then this would be truly the end of me!'
Kyle fast checked if he could scavenge anything and started running as fast as he could in the direction of another forest that he got recommended to explore.
After running for an hour at the fastest speed, Kyle saw someone on a flying sword drop in the distance to the place of the explosion. After 10 minutes, another person came, and suddenly more huge explosions and sounds of battles resounded. Kyle was already at least 20 km away from the side of the crater, but he could still see and hear the battle sounds. That meant that those that battled were really strong and much stronger than Kyle.
After 5 more hours of running, Kyle finally arrived at the forest that he wanted to explore. This forest had the same level of power as the previous forest, which meant that he could experiment with his new power here now.
The forest itself was rockier and had lots of ravines and caves. Kyle chose one that was on the green grassland to make as his base. His tent, after all, got deleted from the world. Kyle went into the cave, and after making sure that it was rather clean and with a bonfire at the front, he started to meditate.
Kyle's spiritual consciousness flew started in his head and flew down towards the dantian. The whole experience seemed very foreign to Kyle. As if it was not his body but someone else's. The bones were for some reason, orange in colour as if it was copper. The meridians were white as if they were made out of jade, and all of the organs were reinforced with a protective layer of some orange tissue.
The dantian was the one that changed the most. It now was not only perfect in shape, but it also had 3 defensive layers with the last layer resembling a beehive structure that radiated power and strength. It was also orange in colour.
Next Kyle went into the dantian, and suddenly he heard the voice.
