บท 24: Chapter 24 - Allying with the White Wolf guild
While waiting for all of the guild members to wake up, Kyle was thinking of how to get an advantage from the spider queens death. He didn't want to be stationed in this forest and be responsible for clearing a new trading path between the 2 kingdoms, but this opportunity was too big to miss.
At this exact moment, Kyle saw that the last person to wake up was ready to move out. Kyle was contemplating on how to persuade the leader of the guild. She clearly didn't like him before. 'Getting a good deal out of the bad relationship is going to be hard. Even though I saved them, I am not certain that they will appreciate it fully.' Kyle's impression of this kingdom's people was very limited, and he was scared to be dealing with criminals.
Kyle was walking behind the group to made sure that no one attacked them from behind. The elf guild leader was still unconscious, and Arnold was carrying her in her hands.
While walking, there was dead silence and constant moans of pain due to the whole guild being injured.
Once they got to the camp, everyone went to their own tents. Arnold stopped next to Kyle and said, "Could you please wait until Thaola wakes up? She has been the one closest to the spider and got injured the most… She will surely want to speak to you after you have saved all of us."
Kyle also was interested in negotiating, "Yes, I can wait." He sat in the meditative position and started on resolving his cultivation to check how high he has improved since the absorption period.
There were many changes inside of his body. The biggest change was in his dantian, which has grown considerably, even changing its shape. It was much more well structured and round than before. The dantian that he initially had was more of an irregular oval that was bent to fit between his insides. Now the dantian was the main focus that was the power source of the whole body.
Also, Kyle noticed that the translucent material that the dantian was made out of was now azure in colour. That could only mean that it was stronger and more durable now. This caused a great surprise to Kyle. Even if a sword strike of a weak enemy pierces into the body and aims straight at the dantian, the sword won't necessarily pierce it and might bounce off.
The dantian overall was both the most fragile and the most important organ a cultivator had. Having better protection for it was the most important part of surviving for longer.
Kyle had noticed that when he just levelled up, his dantian now could hold qi without any banks or limitations. At the bottom of the dantian, the qi swirling around with lightning was just as savage as always. It was at around 75% of the distance from the bottom to the pearl. 'I am guessing that in order to break through to the Foundation establishment stage and level 2, I will have to make my qi fill up to the pearl.
The most amazing part was that Kyle now was able to control qi fully. He tried moving it with his consciousness, and even though he could only do a small part, it did allow him to freely let it flow through the meridians, as it went past the meridians and into all of the small parts of the body, all of the qi started rotating in a circle. Kyle, without knowing, achieved an amazing level of qi control where it would circulate inside his meridians and get rid of all of the impurities that his body and vessels had.
As qi moved around, Kyle's body was as if being hammered. Many uneven and unperfected meridians that he had, now were fixed and put into place. His whole body was hurting, and black liquid started pouring outside of his pores. If anyone saw him right now, they would think that he was in the process of cultivating some type of devil art.
Kyle was about to continue but decided first to find a safe spot somewhere to carry out his practice and dive deeper into the book.

In around two hours, Kyle was called into the tent that was not very much different from others. The exception was that in the middle stayed a table with 8 chairs around it. On it was the map of the spider forest as well as a red dagger that was stabbed into the table and the map at the point where the cave was.
At this moment, the elf was still wearing the same clothes, and she was extremely pale. She greeted Kyle and wanted to stand up, but her still powerless and numb legs only caused her to drop on the floor. Kyle quickly came up to her and supported her up to the bed.
"Thank you… Sorry. In reality, there are many things that I have to say sorry for." She looked to the side with a gaze, "I was born in the kingdom far away. When I was a child, I was captured on the outskirts of the elven forest. Ever since then, a man of your race has been humiliating me every day. I have not met a single decent representative of your race, and that is why I assumed that you would be the same." She bit her lip in frustration, "Not only did you risk your life checking if any of us were still alive, but you also freed us from sure death. White Wolf Fang and me, Thaola Norjeon, own you our lives."
She continued after a brief cough, "Arnold has told me that you have saw the spider being driven away by an ogre? What level was the ogre, also level 3?'
Kyle nodded his head.
"This is difficult. If they are both level 3, then it could off went either way. What was ogre doing in the spider forest anyways… If he crossed the grassland, that means war." she was contemplating something. "Either way, now that the spider left her forest, it will be much easier to capture the forest as being defenders is always easier."
Kyle looked at her with the best fake surprise he could manage, "You are still going to explore the forest again? Was nearly dying not enough for you?"
She put a smile of relaxation on her face, "You have now changed everything. Going into the forest, we had information that was 3 months old that the spider was only a level 2 creature. It must have gotten some fortunate encounter and consumed some high-level beast. Most likely, it will be injured, and as there weren't any more spiders in the forest, it is either dead or on the brick of dying. We should have no problem this time." Her eyes showed determination as she clutched the bed covers tightly with her hands. "We had everything prepared before. I even had the scorpion poison that is the deadliest poison to the spiders. The problem was that it ambushed us right as I moved into the forest. We didn't even stay in formation… It was totally my fault. If you didn't arrive, I would have killed my entire guild. Again. Sorry, and thank you!" She bowed as low as she could while sitting.
"Actually, I was-" before Kyle could finish, Thaola started speaking again.
"Your efforts will not be underestimated. In my eyes, the spider forest that separates the Kingdom of Rivendale and the Kingdom of Yourkshine is in our control now. This, again, could only be achieved because of you." She stopped and shouted, "Arnold!"
Straight away, the human walked into the tent from the outside. "Yes, guild leader."
"Prepare a contract with Sir Kyle that White Wolf Guild will be splitting all the income and ownership that we will get from this area 50-50, with Sir Kyle having the final say in any decision that we make." Arnold's eyes went wide with shock at first, but after glancing once again at Kyle, he bowed and nodded his head and went out of the tent.
Kyle thought about it, and this was already much better than he hoped. All of the work would be done by the White Wolf guild, and he would only get the benefits. This was a very profitable deal for him, considering that he was in the process of saving his life anyways. This was a very nice bonus.
"Okay, I agree." Kyle stretched out his hand as this was a common way to solidify the deal back on earth, and it meant surely the same thing in this world.
Thaola blushed and put her slender hand out just in front of Kyle's. It wasn't that she wanted to shake the hand, but for Kyle to kiss it, 'What the hell, I only saw women in movies do this at the dinner parties.' Kyle bent down and kissed the hand, like a real gentleman. With this, the deal was now fully in motion.

บท 25: Chapter 25 - A forest of magical beasts
After everything was arranged and the contract signed, they agreed to meet in this place in around 3 months. At that point, the forest should be cleaned from any spiders that were left and the ancient road that was passing through it, to be renovated and improved so that carts and wagons can move through.
Kyle asked around the power level of the forests around and got told that every forest that was here belonged to some beast either level 2 or level 3. The further one goes inside the wilderness, to the location where Kyle got summoned to, the stronger beasts appear. Angus even said that there are rumours of level 7 beast living in one of the lakes inside.
This caused Kyle's eye to twitch. He remembered one very symbolic lake that even had a talking beast come out of it. If the ogre and the spider were so deadly to Kyle, then level 7 beast could off killed him with a fart. That was a scary thing to think about. He could off died from just being spawned into such a dangerous location.
At the moment, Kyle had no reason to stay in this camp any longer, and it seemed that something happened to the monsters in the area that let them level up by one or even two levels. This area was too dangerous for Kyle for now. That is why he headed out to one of the forests that always had level 0 beasts before and now might have only level 1 and rarely level 2.
In the world of Game, levels mattered so much. A spider queen of level 3 captured and nearly killed Kyle in less than a second with a single attack.
Plus the sheer size and regeneration powers improved drastically with each level, sometimes the beasts when levelling up would unlock a stored in their genes or bloodline some skill or legacy that would let them boost their strength considerably.
Understanding this, Kyle was very much looking forward to finding what exactly he can do now. Kyle also told that going out of the forest for beats was forbidden by the beast king. It was a pact they made to prevent slaughter between their own species. If someone wanted to get another territory, they would need to expand from sides instead of crossing the green vast land to move for the weakest beasts. If someone broke that pact, every beast would come with war to it. That is why ogre chasing Kyle was an ultimate death for ogre anyways.
As Kyle reached the forest that he was about to explore, he set up a small tent that he got from White wolfs guild and started exploring all of the updates he had.
First, it was the achievement notification when he came close to the spider queen and ogres body.
[ Congratulations. You have killed an enemy 3 levels higher than you. ]
[ Achievement has been achieved. ]
[ Would you like to get the rewards now? ]
Kyle now was safe and could check what it was. He pressed Yes.
[ Increased Luck is upgraded to Lucky Charm ]
[ Congratulations! Lucky Charm is now level 1 ]
Kyle looked at the system disappointed and said to it, "Are you joking? That was an unbelievably hard thing to pull off, and the only thing I get is some stupid lucky charm?!" Kyle was angry and walked outside the tent. It was an evening, and he was about to go to sleep. Kyle was very angry with the system and out of frustration, kicked one of the rocks that were lying around next to him.
The rock out of the sheer power of Kyle's kick flew at least a kilometre until it hit the forest trees that were in front of him. 'Wow! What power! Level 1 and 75% allows me to wield such huge power? At least I got the levels from all of this…' with this another notification popped out.
[ Lucky Charm used ]
Below the rock that he kicked there suddenly appeared a trap door that was leading somewhere below the ground. Kyle was stunned as he was certain that this big trap door was never there, and he would off noticed it. 'Okay, maybe this lucky charm is not as useless as I thought.
He opened the trap door to see what was inside, but after just briefly looking inside, he shut it closed and started panting. There at the bottom of the ladder that was leading down, he saw a red eye that was blinking and looking straight at him. The eye itself was the size of Kyle's whole body, considering that Kyle could only see a bit of what it was. He also smelled a strong scent of sulphurous which was known to be in the areas of burning and in the areas where magma was present.
'That is is way too dangerous… This trap door seemed to be held by some magical force that only I can open, but just to make sure I will hide it somehow." Kyle made sure to hide the trap door and put some barely visible identification stamp for himself. 'I think that it is at least level 5 area, no way I am going for a suicide right now.'
Kyle had too many places to explore right now.
Next to where Kyle currently stationed himself, was a small pond that had clean water in it. This could allow Kyle to wash himself, which is the main problem he had with purifying his impurities with his qi. Kyle went into the pond and closed his eyes, concentrating on his body.
Now he stopped holding back the qi and let it flow freely through his meridians. The feeling of all of his body constantly being struck by needles was very uncomfortable, but the healing effect and the soothing effect of qi balanced it out. The black smudge rolled out of all of Kyle's pores straight into the pond, but Kyle didn't see that he was too absorbed in seeing how his body would change.
Kyle understood that in reality humans body from earth was extremely poor for cultivation. His meridians structure had a lot of edges, and also the meridians were barely visible due to the thousands of years of humans not practising cultivation. This is why this purifying process was heaven's way of accepting him into the cultivators' world.
The process lasted an unknown amount of time for Kyle, but when he opened his eyes, he wasn't in the pond like before, he was in some swamp where black liquid fully surrounded him. It was disgusting, but Kyle was able to leave the swamp easily. As Kyle left the water, his body was now completely different from before. His abs now were perfect, and all of his muscles radiated a truly unmovable feeling. His face has gotten much more attractive with every feature deserving to be a top model of earth. His whole aura that he radiated now has changed from being a no-one to being a strong and wise young man.
Kyle looked inside his body and could see the most perfect structure of his meridians and organs. This was exactly as the book said, even his dantian has moved to be in the perfect place to absorb and distribute qi. The only different thing was that the pearl inside his dantian was positioned and not outside like the book showed.
Now that Kyle was fully baptised, he went back into his tent. He still had more of his power-ups to figure out!
