บท 49: Ambush

"You're the best aunt," Jiang Ming smiled as he kissed her on the lips.

He knew she would allow him in the end as long as he pestered her. 

"Hmph, if you dare to come back full of injuries then you're going to get it," Yang Liqin hissed as she pushed him away.

Afterward, she left the Moon Bazaar with Hong Ling in a teary expression. 

"M-Madam, are you okay?" Hong Ling asked in concern as they sat in their carriage.

"How could I be okay?" Yang Liqin rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms. "Jiang Ming is risking his life for our safety and I want to go with him as well."

"But my current condition would only be a burden for him."

Hong Ling retrieved a cloth out and gave it to Yang Liqin.

Yang Liqin smiled bitterly as she grabbed it and wiped some tears away. 

"Madam, you should believe in Jiang Ming." Hong Ling suddenly said. "Jiang Ming had never done something when he didn't have confidence in it."
