When he touched the mark on Nir's head, he felt as if something was connecting Nir and him. When he tried to focus, he suddenly heard Nir's voice inside his head. 

"Master this sign represents the bond between you and me. You can read my thoughts and communicate with me telepathically."

Fu Yan was amazed when he heard this. This was really magical. After staying silent for a while and thinking, Fu Yan let out a smile and then leaned back on the chair while picking up a plate filled with some kind of fruit.

"Ok since we are done with this, why don't you eat now. I know you have not eaten your fill for quite a while, so dig in. Also, remember this, I won't force you to do things, if you ever want to stop working for me and leave, I will let you do so without even saying anything."

When Nir heard this, he went down on one knee and looked at Fu Yan with tearful eyes.
