Riri is upset. And I know exactly why. She can handle other illegal product trades except for coke. That's the one thing she doesn't want to touch. And that's because of her brother, Sebastian, who's a recovering addict. That's a whole lot of drama that I don't want her to go through. She and her family have had enough.
I close my eyes. The vein on my temple ticks and I massage it with my fingers. "Can we please talk later? I have so much on my plate right now."
"I'm not leaving until you promise not to sell drugs on the streets!"
I respond, my tone a little harder than I'd like. "You want to talk right now? Fine. If we're not selling it, then what do you suggest we do?"
"We can do many other things that don't destroy people's lives, things that don't end up with people dying from an overdose."
