I didn't really have a phone call to make like I told her earlier when it was time to open the doors. I just wanted her to have her moment.
As much as I wanted to stand by her side at the opening, to my knowledge, Riri hasn't experienced something as grand as this by herself where she poured her sweat, heart, and tears to make this club her own. She deserves the spotlight. She deserves to have a moment to herself and just absorb her accomplishment.
She did this. My Riri did all this, and I'm so fucking proud of her.
I was just there, hiding in plain sight, watching her with a huge smile on her face as she welcomed the guests. I could tell by the way her eyes shone that she was genuinely pleased and excited.
She's brimming with happiness, it shows—she's lighting up the whole place.
And I'm so glad I get to watch it all and witness how she blossomed from a girl who was once dependent on her family to the woman that she is now.
