"How big is this office?" Riri naturally curls her hand around my elbow as we leave the lobby and enter the hallway with office spaces on both sides. 

I welcome the warmth of her hand that penetrates through my sleeves. "Two-storeys. Eight thousand square feet plus the parking lot outside. The—"

"Good morning, Mr. Morelli." Sylvia, my secretary, appears in front of us, standing poised with a practiced smile on her face, her blonde hair in a tight bun on her head that looks painful. She's a couple years older than me but can pass as someone in her late twenties. I return the greeting with my usual stoic expression. She slides her attention to Riri and though it's very brief, I catch the quick judgmental look in her eyes before her smile widens. "Who…is she?"

"My wife," I place a hand on Riri's waist, "Gabriella Morelli. This is Sylvia Kelly, my secretary. She's been working in the company for ten years."
