บท 22: Chapter 22: Overall planning
While taking hot bath, he started planning for future. he has to set preliminary plans for his near future.
First,
he was health conscious in his previous life, now his predecessor never looked after his physical body and diet. now if he want to survive here in medieval age he need to have strong body. he does not have comfort of any modern gadget here. it is really tough to live and survive here.
So First challenge is to start physical workout. he has already started it. but he will have to increase the intensity of workout.
Second,
he is still new to his surrounding. he has lot to know such as 'how people live in this time?, what are there habits?, what do they for living?, how hard it is to earn living? '
he also need to read some book from his father library to get overall idea about people's lifestyle. also need to to find out about history of his barony, his kingdom and other adjecent kingdom.
Third,
he need to develope intuition to recognize his friend and foe accurately, so that he will not get stabbed in back at time of emergency.
Ultimately his goal in this life is to live luxurious, rich, carefree lifestyle. So for this goal he need to lay down foundation.
Now that he has decided what to do next, let's dive into action.
After coming out of bath,he got ready and went for family breakfast, this time he feels safe having breakfast with everyone , nothing special happen around breakfast.
As he decided to change himself for his future luxurious lifestyle, he went to his courtyard and found mirror. Pause for second, just by looking at his face he feels somewhat proud , he has fair skin with black hair, blue eyes , sharp pointy nose, thick eyebrow which adds charm to his facial feature,
By looking at himself, he smiled inwardly, ' I can make any girl fall for me with this charming face, also have majestic aura around my body, hmmmm.' he was very happy
But as he look down from face he can see his skinny, frail looking body without any muscles.
he even thought,
'How did I survive up to this point with such frail body? Hmm. '
With this observation in mind, he directly went to look for Emily. now that soap making is handed over to his father's loyal servant william. he can work on other things. as he reach the courtyard premises, he saw, Emily was doing her house chores, as he neared her, " Emily from today onward I will increase my workout intensity. so You should prepare more healthy food for me from today onwards." he said this in one breath.
Emily got amazed by this revelation, unable to process full information, "What did you say, my lord?" she ask in lower voice.
"Do I need to repeat myself ? " he narrow his eyes, look at her and ask question in high tone.
"N-No No , of course not my lot , this servant understand." She can see headache coming her way.
'This young lord mood swings like winds. My peaceful days are long gone. Hh hh hh…'. Emily thought
With this said Oliver started walking towards his family guards training ground.
he set his exercise routine to 4 miles run, 50 pushup, 50 pull ups, 50 sit up, for today's target, with gradually increasing intensity of workout.
As he reach training ground, he saw near about 200 guards where performing drills.
As his father is vassal state of valeria kingdom, it is his duty to protect the territory from foreign states as well as border. Besides this another important duty is, whenever Emperor calls him to fight war to protect Empire he must abide by Emperor wish. As baron, he can have standing army of 500 men excluding his personal knights. He also can higher mercenary in case of temporary Emergency.
he didn't disturb their drill, he went into corner and started doing my exercise.
Oliver continued his exercise routine for some time, taking small breaks to recover when he felt his heart rate rising too high. With a complete and total lack of modern exercise equipment, the tall yet dreadfully skinny young man was forced to exercise the old-fashioned way.
he can hear mur mur of guards who spotted me doing some weird exercises routine. They started talking behind his back. But he does not care about there thoughts. After running for 4 miles, he feel like he will fall on ground at any moment, just he was about to take some rest, his older brother Edmund came walking energetically with shouting something towards him with big smile on his face.
"So it is you little brother, I thought who is doing some crazy stuff this early in the morning." He said this with patting my shoulder.
"I just thought about improving myself older brother."
"well, It's good to train your body, with good body one can have healthy mind." He said.
Oliver thought, ' It is easy for you to say , you have been doing this from age 6. I mean just look at you, you are only 19 but look like fully grown adult ready for battle.'
Oliver just smile without giving any reply.
"so in what way you want to train, do you want to be sword man, spear man or join cavalry." His brother ask enthusiastically.
With lower voice he replied, " I never thought about joining military older brother, you are good at these things older brother, I am just here to do some physical activity to keep myself fit."
To this reply, his brother just laugh, " don't worry little brother as long as I am here nobody can harm you, you can depend on me." As he said this he walk towards guard drill area with big smile on his face
For some time he just stopped there looking at his brother's back, he suddenly felt feeling of safety. But he was also warn inside. he can see in hus brother's eyes, the desire for more power.
Then he reminded himself, ' Oliver, in human society nobody is your friends or foe only interests and benefit drive human to do good and evil.'
Anyhow with great difficulty he finished his daily target , he was feeling very exhausted. he literally drag his body towards his courtyard.
Looking at his haggard appearance Emily got into action. She took him to bath, help him clean his body properly.
Looking at Emily busy in cleaning Oliver thought , 'I have to admit although she is greedy and lazy sometimes , but she really took care of me all this years'
As she was cleaning his body he had mischievous thought, he signal her to wash his chest, as she started doing this he suddenly grab her perky milky melons and press with all his might.
"Aahhhh, my lord what are you doing?"
she just stared at me with shock expression. But just he was about to speak he suddenly spotted blush on her face.
he ignore her, just started playing with her milky breasts. She also started working on my chest more enthusiastically.
Just like that afternoon come to an end.

After afternoon nap he feel refresh. he started thinking about getting information about political and social structure of this period in depth. he quickly put on his robe and started walking towards only library situated near father's mansion. without any difficulties, he quickly reach there.
As he enter through first door,
"what a pleasant surprise young master, do you need my help with anything here." Old man with white hair spoke to him with smile on his face.
With old Oliver memory he recognise this old man, he is trusted servant of his father, he stayed with his father from beginning of establishment of barony . he is also great scholar, he also teaches every baron children etiquettes and literature. His name is Mr. Alfred, he came from far northern state.
Oliver bow in respect as he greeted him " greetings teacher Alfred, I am just here for some historical books "
He look at Oliver with curiously , " Okay, young master, come with me"
he started following him inside, This library is not like his old library he used to go. he can see It's just one room with few books and historical records. he sits at central table waiting for old man to bring him books
Old man Alfred came with thick old book about 300 pages , he place book in front of him with serious expression on his face. " young master this the history book, it contains all the event related to dynasty, please use it carefully."
"Thank you teacher Alfred." he said.
After Saying this, Oliver opened a book and started reading book with enthusiasm. This book is very old it is not made by poor white paper, it looks like some sort of yellow thick paper. As expected of medieval time. There no decent paper available here, Oliver thought 'maybe I can make white paper and earn lot of money' … as he started reading book, somewhere near main hall there was total different situation unfolding.
Old man Alfred look at Oliver for some time before leaving his sight and went straight towards main hall, in his father's courtyard
"Greetings, My Lord ." with bow he greeted lord baron.
Lord baron, who was sitting on his study desk looking at some documents, turned his head and look at old man,recognizing his greetings, " What brings you here at this time, Alfred. Please, come have a sit." Baron ask.
Old man Alfred teaches literature and politics to lords generations. lord baron also study under alfred.
As old man sat on chair, " My lord young master Oliver, is acting very different today, as if he is different from is usual lazy attitude, as if he is different person all of sudden." He said with smile.
Lord baron, Cedric, narrow his eyes, "Did he make another fuss over small things?" with angry voice my father ask.
"No No My lord, he didn't make any mistakes"
"Then what is it, teacher."
"My lord today, young master went to training ground after breakfast, guard said he run and did some weird exercises, around 3 o'clock he came to library, ask for history and political books."
As Cedric listens He couldn't believe his ears, " did he really do all of that?"
"Yes, My lord."
" He is lazy and always used to run away from this things before, he never took interest in any activity except for lazing around, few days ago he came to me with some blueprints. I thought it was just his way of doing some fun. But he invented that soap, it become to popular, and then he want to built steel furnace to increase steel production. and now is also interested in history and politics . hahahhahhahahha. why did he suddenly change his habits."
"Maybe he realized his mistakes, my lord, and wanted to change for better. but it is very good for baron household future."
With serious look on his face baron lost in his thought. He is my son after all , he has finally grown up, with enthusiastic look in his eyes, baron said, " Teacher please help him if he needs anything."
Baron always had soft spot for Oliver in his heart because he is the youngest child, previously due to his laxy attitude baron used to observe him regularly. but now it feels everything is going back on track.
"As your wish, My lord." Alfred said turned away and left room.
Baron thought, ' lets see how many days you can persist my son.' With this he again focused on document in front of him.

In library Oliver is storing everything about history, politics and art into his AI chip for future reference. he knows that this is outdated information. he needs to form information agency to get recent news in kingdom. barony is far away from capital. its in desolated region . information travels way to slow here.
he made is mind to build a agency with his modern knowledge. his agency will be like CIA or MI 6 which will penetrate all the kingdoms.
fir this task he needs large amount of money , hhhh...
' money is needed everywhere, no matter how much you earn, it will never be enough. I need to hasten my steel production and next i will make plan to introduce portland cement here.' Oliver thought.
As it was getting darker outside, Oliver with all this thoughts left library and headed toward his courtyard to take dinner and rest.
