บท 359: No Words Could Put Her At Ease

Heisuke's early revival from his consciousness delighted everyone, especially Hisaki and Mrs. Saeki. Unknown to them, Kousuke also left with a smile of relief. Silent tears ran down his cheeks.

Dr. Nakane returned to the ward. He and his team conducted a series of simple examinations. The air inside the ward was intense.

Hisaki, Mrs. Saeki and the others stayed away from them, fearing their presence would disrupt the medical team. They waited with bated breath.

Not long after, Dr. Nakane declared the state of Heisuke's injuries. 

"We'll continue observing Mr. Saeki's state but, for now, he's stable."

"Thank goodness!" exclaimed Mrs. Saeki happily. Fresh bouts of tears spilled from her eyes. Mr. Hokama gently caressed her back as a form of support.

Shortly after, Dr. Nakane and the nurses left the ward. Kenji took a step closer to the bed where Heisuke was sitting. A pillow cushioned his back.
