“Okay, did you remember your phone charger? Toothbrush? Sunglasses?” Roxy calls from outside, slamming shut the trunk of her car.

“Yes, yes, and on my head!” I bound out of our apartment complex front door with a huge spring in my step.

I finally got Hannah to cut my hair yesterday into a fun bouncy bob that Roxy won’t stop raving about.

My gorgeous girlfriend is dressed in cutoffs and a tight teal tank top that complements her bronze skin so well that I told her we should one day go to an island that has the ocean that color so she can swim in it. She just giggled and rolled her eyes and told me that sometimes I can gush too much.

“All right, then I think the Bubbles and Buttercup road trip is officially underway!” Roxy flashes a radiant smile and saunters from behind the car and I run into her arms, my heavy handbag bouncing off me with all the essential road trip snacks and items we will need.
