"I'll count one, two, three, and then we start," Duan Yanran put her bag aside and said seriously.

"Okay," Ling Tianyu nodded, looking at the ice cream in his hand. The temperature had no effect on him—at least he was unaffected.

"One, two, three," Duan Yanran shouted to begin, taking a big bite, and Ling Tianyu did the same.

Duan Yanran held Ling Tianyu's hand, looking into his eyes with her cheeks puffed full of ice cream. Although Ling Tianyu's cheeks were puffed too, he wasn't really affected.

After a full two minutes, seeing that Duan Yanran was almost unable to bear it, Ling Tianyu pretended he couldn't handle it either and admitted defeat.

"Whew!" Upon seeing Ling Tianyu concede, Duan Yanran threw back her head and exhaled a breath of air; it was so cold and took her a long time to swallow.
