Marcella looked at him. There wasn't even a trace of admiration on his face. If he was someone who wanted the best for her and treated her as the daughter of someone he respected, he wouldn't be looking at her with abhorrence.

This look was exactly why she didn't want to stay with her father anymore. This look from others was why she left. It hurt. 

No matter what she did or does, people from the past are going to look at her this way. She can give up and take on the mantle her father left. It wouldn't be hard for her to take her father's place.
