บท 2: kicked out and given land
Waiting in the study for what seemed like hours Long Qin got up and looked around. he reached for a few old books that dated back to the founding of the clan.
Reading through them Long Qin knew that he had to be careful, if not he could damage these relics. The first book that he grabbed was called (Long clan family register) reading trough it long qin found that he couldn't find his name, his brother, or his mothers which he found particularly odd. Then he went into look for his fathers name the clan leader, but what he found made his shocked.
All his life he knew his father as long zhang, but here in the family register it says all to differently that his true name is lingfei wu. Also, "our" true clan name is Lingfei. Which begs to differ from what is preached my the clan elders and my so called father.
Quickly before anyone came in long qin put the book down on the table and grabbed the family assets book. This book was pretty thick. Much different then what he was expecting. Skimming trough the book long qin learned a lot of shocking things about his clan. One that they owned not just this village that they live in but the surrounding hundred thousand kilometers. The clan owned a part of all the shops in the village, all the mountain ranges, valleys, and ore mines.
One thing that the clan owned caught long qin's eye. Half way into the forest next to the village sat a sturdy mountain, that all year round never had a drop of water or sunlight. All the grew there was dark black trees. The air was fresh but the atmosphere around the mountain was dark and gloomy.
This place was where people in this village have been burying their dead for centuries. This mountain was called Siwang Shan. (Death mountain)
This place was just right for him to cultivate in he had a around seven hours left before his time world was up unless he got to that mountain. So long qin decided to just go to his dads room but not before grabbing the clan register and the clan assets book.
Sneaking past a maid on her way to the clan masters room, long qin hid in the corridor right next to the clan masters bedroom. Just as the maid used her keys to open his room long qin came up behind her and knocked her out. Which got the attention of Long Zhang.
Standing in the shadow of the doorway Long Qin talked to his dad like it was any other day. "Hey father. How's your day going?" This in itself have long zhang a fright because he had men follow long qin all the time.
When he decided to jump off into the ocean people were sitting there all day and night for a week straight but could find no sight of him. After the week ended they did a funeral for him.
What really got long Zhang on edge isn't the fact that his son who he thought to be dead was alive. But the fact that after he confirmed his sons death he divorced his mother and erased her name from the family registry, including both her sons.
Long Qin slowly walked out of the shadows looking like a evil ghost, with his sharp green eyes. Seeing this made long Zhang toss and turn in his bed. He wanted to scream but stopped himself multiple times.
Long Qin walked up to Long Zhangs bed and threw the family registry at his feet seeing this. Long Zhang wanted to explain but he was scared stiff. imagine a person claiming to be your dead son with the same voice but looking like a evil ghost and a few days after you change the family registry he pops up and throws that Registry at your feet.
This is straight out of a play, To coincidental. Long Qin sat at his fathers side and talked to him about his experience hiding the fact that he's now a undead. He recounted how he was at an all time low. How his girlfriend bai with was stolen by Wei shu and how he was embarrassed in front of a lot of people from the village.
He also said he got a fortuitous encounter in the ocean and he's now a new man. Hearing this long Zhang had a wide array of reactions. Getting close to long qin, long Zhang explained the clan situation and how's he's basically a figurehead and his now first mistress is from the wei clan and the elders are mostly bought out by them.
They tired to kill you but I made sure that I raised you so you didn't know anything. I thought it would keep you safe but it looks like all it did was keep you alive a few years longer.
Now whole heartedly think his father was a liar and he would do and say anything to live but little did he know that I wasn't here to kill him. Pulling the family assets book out from my robes, I turn it to the page that depicts Siwang Shan. I told him if he ever saw me as his son he should give me the deed to this land. Looking at the assets book long Zhang had a look of confusion.
Done pulling a key out of god knows where long Zhang opened the nightstand next to his bed. Pulled out a old document with the words Siwang Shan. Before long qin could say he was leaving the clan for good. Long Zhang told him in a deep voice "take your mother and leave my clan I want nothing to do with either of you from this moment on!"
