I took a sip of my fruit shake.
I got up to go out and look for my secretary.
I just caught him walking towards my habit. She gave me a smile when she saw me come out. "Do you need anything, Miss Aya?"
"Uhm, I'm just going to ask something."
"What is it?"
I sighed before sipping on my fruit shake. I hesitated to ask her, but I decided to do so. "Do you know any Lacson in the engineering field?" Is he new? "
Her forehead furrowed, and she thought for a few seconds.
Later, she shook his head a few times. Lacson is not in the engineering field, Miss Aya.
I now frown.
"Are you sure?"
She nodded.
"I'm a hundred percent sure, Miss Aya."
Oh.
I blinked thrice, trying to absorb the information.I'm sure Lacson is the man's last name I saw. I clearly read what was written on the hard hat he was carrying.
Nor can I be wrong because it wears the same uniform as our engineers.
"Why did you ask?"
After a couple of seconds, she asked curiously with her creased brows.
She looked at my face curiously for a moment, waiting for my answer. I shook my head.
"Nothing," I replied.
I even forced a little smile to show her that I was just asking.
"No. Maybe it's just the same color as ours." I added.
She nodded. "Okay. Maybe it's the same. Are you tired of eating? "
Yeah, I just finished my food. I just went out to freshen up." I answered.
She looked back at the wristwatch he was wearing. "May I just remind you, Miss, that you'll be attending a meeting." I suggest you get ready. "Fifty-two minutes from now
I nodded at her.
"Yes," Thank you for informing me. I will be there. In which conference room will the meeting be held? "
I asked, realizing that I hadn't asked her about the location a while ago.
"The meeting will be held in the new conference room, located on the twelfth floor."
"Alright. I'll make sure to be there on time. "
She nodded at me before saying goodbye.
I went back into the office to prepare. I also finished the fruit shake I was drinking.
I pulled down the blinds to change my clothes.
I also turned off the light.
I have my own bathroom inside my office and that's where I get dressed. I just really want to lower the blinds because I feel safer and I'm sure no one can see me while getting dressed.
I took the clothes in the bag I was carrying.
It's really good and I'm used to bringing an extra dress every time I go to work.
I brought a black turtleneck dress. Maybe I'll just put the coat on top because the dress is also sleeveless.
It's embarrassing when I face board members as if I'm just going to a party.
I looked at myself in front of the mirror before I took out my powder and lip and cheek tint.
I only apply a minimal amount on my face. I put my hair in a high ponytail.
I didn't have a tie, so I just used hair pins.
To complete my hairdo, I tied a white-literal ribbon around and let its ends down with my long wavy hair.
Even before I could leave the washroom, my secretary knocked. "Miss Aya, ten minutes before the meeting." I heard what she said when she entered my office.
