บท 213: Advanced Design

Lux barely had time to react before the beast lunged, its massive claws swiping toward him. He rolled to the side, electricity surging around his fists as he launched a concentrated bolt at its head. The blast connected, but instead of stunning it, the monster absorbed the energy, its form glowing brighter.

Lux's stomach dropped. "It's feeding off my electricity!"

Chloe acted fast, using her telekinesis to hurl a pile of wreckage at the creature, but the metal debris barely slowed it down. The beast twisted, its elongated limbs extending unnaturally as it slammed into the ground, sending out shockwaves that cracked the pavement.

"Fall back!" one of the Code 7 operatives ordered. "We need to reassess!"

"No!" Lux growled, wiping blood from his lip. "If we let it fully regenerate, we won't get another chance."
