It was the next day and Ethan had just finished his assessment with Hermes. He lay on the floor, bruised and very tired. He had sparred against Hermes, the ancient speedster who hadn't pulled his punches. Every hit hit from the Protector felt like being battered by a gaint hammer. And every block or dodge Ethan had performed had felt like something done by luck.

Still, Ethan had persisted and stood his ground even when he was being thrown around like a rag doll. In the end, the ancient speedster had passed him for his sheer will and determination to stand against an enemy far stronger than him as well as his flawless display of skills and moves related with his last martial art form.
