บท 148: HE IS LYING!

The silence that descended on the room this time around was nothing like the first one. This new silence was almost tangible as it resonated heavily with the intense pressure that Hermes could feel coming from all the evil beings gathered in the room. Were he to be any ordinary person, he was sure he would have fainted from the heavy silence tinged with the suffocating aura of the generals at once.

The generals' confusion was also visible in their faces as they all tried to understand how a mere mortal could help them in their cause for world domination. Of course, most of them had also been mortals in the past, but that was when they were weak and useless. They had only become powerful after they had let go of their mortality and embraced the powerful life of immortals. So just how could a mortal, one who was an invalid at that possibly hope to make their powerful enemies shudder?
