บท 171: A DEADLY PROMISE (PART 2)

When the wind and lightening dome enveloped the town, its residents who were hiding after they had been shooed away by the soldiers, fell into despair as they all figured the lightening cage was something the soldiers had produced in order to trap them. They had no idea that the soldiers themselves were as confused about the cage-like dome just as they were. So Whiles the curious townsfolks cursed the soldiers from their various hiding places, the soldiers in question scratched their heads in worry and confusion.

"Private, what the frick is going on here? Why are we suddenly enveloped by lightening rods? I thought we were sent here to work in unraveling this town's mysteries, not be a part of it!" One of the scientists shouted at a soldier who was accompanying her around the town as she took samples of God knew what from the streets and the dead bodies littering it.
