"Stories huh? How about I tell you girls about the story of Dart Feld, a leader of a group of Dragoons during a time of war." I ask the group who nods, even Hel is quite eager to listen in on the stories.
The sun was just starting to set and I had decided to tell the story over a nice little bonfire.
Gathered up a couple of branches and sticks and threw everything into a pile before lighting it up and beginning to tell the story of Dart, I pretty much witnessed the entire thing first hand so the story was incredibly detailed.
All the women were enraptured by the story.
"....The massive fortress wall exploded as a giant of a man came barreling in slicing down the soldiers with a massive stone great axe." there was a woosh and a boom as I pulled out the exact axe smashing it into the ground. "He was covered in various furs and leathers that quickly became covered in the blood of his enemies, the soldiers of King Albert tossed aside like ants in the face of the mighty Giganto." the girls eyes locked onto the massive great axe in awe.
"Dart and Lavitz rushed forward, spear and sword facing off against the mighty being but quickly becoming overwhelmed by the opponents speed and power." A sword appeared in my hand, "All looked hopeless until a bright burning light appeared on Dart's body." My body lit up as red armor covered my body a pair of fiery wings spreading behind my back. "The heat in the area grew as the fire dragoon made its appeaeance for the first time since the days of old."
The females were stunned by the magnificent armor and wings. However as quickly as the armor appeared it vanished. I grinned and looked at the sky. "Well it's getting rather late."
"You can't just leave it like that!" Loki and Tiona shout with silent agreement from Ais.
I grab the axe with a smile and heft it over my shoulder. "Your familia are here, probably thinking you are in some kind of danger." I point to the eavesdroppers who had arrived right at the start of the battle story.
A couple of people walk over looking a bit sheepish.
"I might have gotten distracted by the story and forgotten to send a message that we may be back late." Loki admits.
However Tiona arrive is front of me sparkly eyes ablaze next to Ais.
"Is that the axe of the Giganto?" She questions hopping in place.
"Is that the dragoon armor?" Ais questions both tugging my shirt like eager children once more.
I just smile wryly. "This is indeed the axe of Kongol the Giganto, and this is the sword of Dart Felt, yes that is the dragoon armor of the red eyed dragoon, dunno why they called it red eyed when its eyes were green but it was fire dragoon armor." I answer the duo.
"I wanna hold the axe!"
"Can I see it again?" Both ask tugging faster on my shirt.
With a laugh i pass the axe to Tiona who shockingly staggers a second under its massive weight. "Whoa this is so heavy!" She says giving it a swing and smashing a small crater into the ground. Once she adjusts she swings it around with ease laughing happily.
Ais is looking at me with expectant eyes. A flash of light later and she is looking at my dragoon armor along with the other familia members who arrived.
"Is that what Hephaestus wanted to examine?" Loki asks looking at the fiery armor.
"One of the things she wanted to look at." I answer honestly.
"Yet you will show us but won't show her?" Loki questions.
"Let's say you have in your possession equipment specifically used to kill gods or goddesses. You are the sole owner of that equipment, yet a legendary blacksmith wishes to see the armor and weapons to possibly reproduce them. Would you give it to them?" I ask as everyone listens.
"No." Loki says honestly.
"This is armor and equipment specifically used to kill dragons, when i wear this armor i also gain the weakness of dragons. Do you think i would be silly enough to give it to some stranger i had just met?" i ask the trickster goddess. "Not only that but it is a legacy passed down to me, it's my responsibility." the armor vanishes.
"No, I do not believe you are that stupid." Loki says with a nod understanding my situation.
"I would actually like her to look over the armors and see if she could adjust them for me, however at the risk of her making equipment I'm weak against in that form? Not going to happen." I shake my head. "I know there is already equipment with dragon slaying properties. But it just feels safer to me to not pass out my legacy to some demanding goddess."
The group understands my point.
"Well if it's any consolation, Hephaestus is incredibly sorry about what she did as her divinity took control. I believe right now she is actually scouring for different sets of your armor or weapons to study." Loki says.
A large grin splits across my face. "I wish her luck." Good luck finding equipment not native to this planet or universe.
Loki quirks an eyebrow but shrugs. Tonight had been quite informative for her. "Anyway you are welcome at the Twilight Manor to come tell stories, I quite enjoyed it so far and need to hear how it ends. Come on children we need to head back."
"Awwww." Tiona says sadly handing my axe back.
I noticed there wasn't even a scratch on it from her man handling the behemoth of a weapon.
I feel a familiar tug on my shirt.
"Yes Ais?" I ask the doll like girl.
"You should come soon to tell me more about dragoons." She says seriously.
"Sure, when I'm free we can stop by for a visit." I laugh. "You are also welcome to visit I'm sure Hel would enjoy the company of her sister more." i tell Loki.
"Yes!" Hel says quickly with a smile. "Please come visit more."
"Sure, sure, I better do so to make sure my shut in sister gets out more." Loki says with a grin.
