บท 161: Arrival at the snow peaks

Chi Cheng entertained his boredom throughout the escorting journey by conversing with the Ice Sect disciples outside. Aside from the two palanquins, a simple yet elegant wedding procession accompanied their journey.

However, Chi Cheng's heart wallowed in disappointment when he overheard the Ice Sect disciples mention that Han Xuelian was engaged in other important affairs and would be absent from the awakening ceremony.

'It's such an important occasion…how can he not be here?' Chi Cheng pondered, twirling the strands of his azure hair with his fingers. 'If I were to dance with him…this ceremony would appear as though we are wedding each other…that doesn't sound so bad.' His cheeks warmed with a lovely smile at the thought of being betrothed to Han Xuelian. 'Perhaps, in another lifetime we could share something so lovely as a marital bond.'
