บท 143: Explanation

"Doctor Jefferson? You're Emilia Reynz?" asked Marion, surrounded in amazement instantly. Emily nodded quickly but faintly. He already knew that William would eventually take Marion as his bride.

Although she has not performed a sacred ritual, at least Emily can already see the marks William gave her on some parts of the girl's body. 

That alone was enough for Emily, knowing her only son had found his soulmate even though all this time she knew William didn't believe in Amethyst's fate.

Emily took Marion into her arms, rubbing the girl's back and hair lovingly. 

"How's your father doing?" asked Emily, earnestly because she hadn't heard Jeremiah's news for a long time. So did Marion. However, sometimes Marion stopped by the house just to check on her father's condition and the man was fine. In fact, he once saw a woman come and accompany the man in his bed.
