Max looked paler. He had absolutely no desire to consume blood. He just stayed in the room, as if shutting himself in.
Sometimes, his family persuaded him to go out and hunt. But Max chose to refuse and stay silent.
His eyebags looked sunken and black. It really showed how miserable he was. His mind was filled with the name Jade, his girlfriend. All he could think about was Jade.
And Jade hadn't even contacted him for a week. Jade did not respond to messages and calls.
"Hey," Ace came into his room and looked around his brother's room which was neat and didn't even look touched. "Let's get out some time and have a drink. You haven't had any blood at all this week, Max."
"I'll have a drink if she comes here," Max said.
"Jade? Ah... so she's the one who made you like this?"
Max nodded. "But I was wrong too. She wasn't entirely wrong."
Ace sighed. "Hmm... I know. Of course, she's mad that you made a mistake too. That's natural."
