The man responded with a derisive snort. It seemed the woman's commentary provided enough amusement to draw a light chuckle. "The others have taken notice. Seemingly, no one feels the inclination to intervene."

"Why should they aid these arrogant humans?" the woman retorted. "They believe themselves rulers of this realm, so let them face the consequences of their actions."

Hearing this, Eve couldn't help but furrow her brow.

Though she, like them, held no intention to assist the trio, she hadn't anticipated hearing such animosity from the Elves.
