"What do you mean by abnormal?" Ariana knew that there was something wrong with Penelope, but she never thought that it was to the point of being called abnormal. 

Emil's expression darkened. He looked at her and said to her, "I know it seems like I am bitching about her, but I am not. I assure you that there is something very wrong with Penelope and even though she has everything under control with our parents believing that she is all sweet and kind… Keon's canary didn't die in the hands of a cat." 

"Nor did my mother's pet kitten, and especially not Mateo's ex-lover." 

Ariana's eyes went wide as her mouth fell open. 

"She-she killed someone?" Ariana asked, stupefied. She was not a stranger to killing someone, but she only killed a single person and someone who deserved it. Never could she, even in her dreams, kill a person who was innocent, much less an innocent being that couldn't even cry for help.
