When Stephen opened his eyes, he saw such window shown before him. This time he was prepared for the transportation, that's why he closed his eyes before the countdown reached 0, not to be blinded by the light like during his first time.
Stephen looked around to make sure that for the time being he was safe from the sudden attack of animals. What he saw around him was an endless sea of trees. Those trees were very tall and lush, so tall and lush that they prevented the sunlight from reaching the ground.
After Stephen became ensured of his safety, he sighed with relief. It was good that he has not met attack from the very beginning. Such an excellent beginning saved him from a lot of troubles.
"Haaa."
"Everything seems quiet for now."
"That was really a close call. I barely managed to purchase necessary things in time.", complained Stephen sighing with relief.
That's right. Stephen confirmed the purchase when there were only 4 seconds left before the teleportation. This happened because, at the last moment he decided to change his strategy for the first game.
From the beginning he thought about more safe route, with dry ration, water jar, etc. But then, when he was ready to purchase all of this stuff, Stephen decided against it.
With such strategy he would definitely easily survive entire week inside the forest, but he wouldn't be able to kill a lot of animals not to mention the BOSS. That's why now, Stephen had a compound bow strapped behind his back and a knife on his waist.
At first he thought that a gun would be a good choice, but after he saw price for the cheapest gun, Stephen threw away this thought. Price tag for it was whole 1000 game points. 'Holy Moly!' exclaimed he at that time. It was twice of his budget!
So the final choice became a compound bow. Even if now he looked like weakling otaku, Stephen once was one of the best archers in his city. He won a lot of city's archery tournaments and even had good results at the country's tournament.
Not to mention that he had experience of hunting for wild animals with a bow. His father, Harold, took him few times on the hunt with his friends. Though they used rifles, Stephen's choice was a bow. At that time, he thought it was a good practice method to improve his skills.
That's why even if it was more then 5 years from the moment he last time held a bow, Stephen decided that it's his best option.
Remembering his past, Stephen gently caressed compound bow that was now inside his hands.

It was a remote and familiar feeling for him. And after so many years, Stephen once again holds a bow in his hands. But this time it's for the purpose of survival and not for fun or sports.
"Huu", sighed Stephen, throwing away useless thoughts.
'What should I start with?', Stephen thought to himself.
He started to look around once more, thinking about the future course of actions
'OK. It's decided. Let's scout surrounding area.'
Simultaneously he must find place for the camp, source of water and his supper.
After Stephen determined the direction for scouting, he headed north.
