"Even if you were on the brink of your cycle, our agreement on restricted mating should have stopped you from impulsively pulling someone in! And why, of all people, was it Howl first? Are you showing favoritism towards your new spouse?"

Regalus' reaction was nothing short of theatrical. Had he been clutching a handkerchief instead of a ladle, one might imagine him gnawing on it, akin to a jilted lover confronting their unfaithful partner.

Atasha, on the other hand, could only sit in silence, nursing her bruised ego and sore body, as the weight of her actions began to sink in. She had indeed stirred up a hornet's nest, and now she was left to face the music.
