After they left, Esme quickened her footsteps, intending to avoid the stare fixated on her. 

In a few quick strides, Aleister caught up to her. 

Esme quickened her pace but he seemed to have no trouble keeping up. 

Contrary to his effortless strides, she probably looked like a duck dawdling and running in a gown.

In the end, she stopped in her tracks and glanced at him, ''What do you want?" 

''That's what I wanted to ask you,'' a devilish smile made its way to his face as he glanced at her. 

The people who were passing by in the hallway slowed down to look at them. 

Esme grabbed his hand and pulled him to a secluded corner with her without a second thought, ''There is nothing that I want. And even if I want something, I don't want anything from you.'' 

''I meant...'' he drawled, ''Whether you want tea or wine,'' his gaze trailed to her delicate hand which was tightly gripping his wrist.
