บท 30: Resolve
Bright flashes occasionally erupted followed by chaotic noises and gusts of wind.
"It's unique alright." Yuuji muttered after deflecting a downward diagonal slash to his shoulder and attempting to kick koko's shin only for her to use his foot to propel herself and come down with a downward slash.
White swordsmanship, it had no form but also many forms. It had no style but also many styles. It was a white canvas, with koko as the painter. Someone with absolutely no talent could turn this into a trashy sword art while a talented one could turn this into something rivaling yoriichi's sun breathing.
Every offence turned into a path for her to counter and every defensive move of yuuji turned into a path for her to attack. There were no openings.

It would be more accurate to say that her form was full of openings. There were so many openings that it confused the opponent. Every breath of her increased the flaws but it also made her react more precisely to them. Constantly adapting to every possibility.
Perfectly flawed and paradoxically logical.
The only saving grace was the observation haki of yuuji working at full capacity to detect her moves.
"How come everyone around me turns overpowered?" He began to wonder if he was dreaming or not.
Dust rose up as they both landed and faced each other once again.
"This should be enough for a spar right koko?"
"Just a bit more, yuuji-san. Let's keep going until you go all out."
Without waiting for a reply, she rushed forward, her blade extended to yuuji's neck.
"Is something bothering you koko?" Yuuji asked, as he moved to the side only for the sword to abruptly twist and graze his neck.
"It feels incomplete."
"Your sword?"
"Yes. I feel that I cannot fully comprehend the potential of my sword yet."
"Even though you came up with it?"
"Sadly, yes."
Jumping up, yuuji straightened his arm back and formed a black ice spear and threw it.
A thunderous noise clamored and the ground broke where the spear landed. Koko had already moved out by jumping at the tree nearby and use it as a booster to move towards yuuji and attack.
"Your strikes are heavy yuuji-san, but they lack technique!" Saying that, she swung her black blade at his torso.
"I have more experience than you though."
A rasengan from yuuji's hand stopped her sword and pushed her back. He didn't end it there and sent two rasenshurikens at her.
They went straight at first but their paths curved at the end when she swung her sword and made them neutralize each other by collision.
"A ball of wind, packed with....air needles?"
"Good observation koko."
"..."
"What?"
"I've been wanting to ask this for a long time but couldn't find the right moment. What are you wearing yuuji-san?"
"Oh this?"
"Yes."
"Well my clothes usually get torn during combat so I just abandoned them and used haki constructs to substitute for clothes."

"What?"
"You mean you're naked underneath those metallic things?"
"Yes, just like how you're naked under your clothes."
"P-P-please don't say such indecent things."

Doma stepped inside the bloody isolated house. The smell of blood was still fresh. Some of the corpses were still twitching, which was surprising since most of them had half of their heads of body parts missing.
He opened the door to see a small figure with neatly combed hair.
"Greetings muzan sama."
"Doma, any news on the him?"
"We're still searching. It gets increasingly harder with his clones scattered throughout the country. Even now as we speak, those clones are running farther away from sight."

Yuuji lightly touched her head and sent out a pulse of chakra.
As koko felt her vision fading, the last thing she saw was yuuji's sad face mouthing two words.
