"I can feel it. My body's pain." Dai said as he continued to climb the tower using all the strength that he have in his body.
"If only I have a magical cloud like him I don't have to waste my energy trying to climb this stupid tower," Dai said as he looked upwards at the tower.
He complained not because he was lazy but because he thought that his energy could be been used for more useful purposes such as training with the sage named Korin rather than climbing this tower.
"Huff huff. Still, a long way to go huh? If this is a test like in the martial arts novels l really hate this test." Dai said as he hung one of his hands on the tower to catch his breath.
"I have already climbed this tower for about a day why is it so long?" Dai said as he continues to climb the tower.
One hour has passed.
Two hours have passed.
Eleven hours passed and finally, Dai started to notice Shilloute of the place where the sage lives.
"Is that the place? Finally about time." Dai said as he swipes the sweat on his face in relief.
Then he masters up all the strength in his body just for a little longer to finish his task.
After climbing the tower for one day and Twelve hours Dai finally made it to the top of the tower.
"Huff. Huff. Finally." Dai said as he entered a small hole that was used at the entrance to enter the place where the sage lives.
Dai lies down on the floor near the hold that he entered to catch his breath.
"I am not expecting you. But come. Come out to the top." A voice reached out to Dai.
"The sage? Are you the sage that the guy down the tower told me about?" Dai asked as he climbed a pair of small stairs to finally meet the sage face to face.
Then he saw a small white cat-like being who was standing on two legs looking at him.
"You looked exactly like Son Goku to the point it is uncanny." The cat said to Dai.
"I get that a lot," Dai said to the cat.
"You must be Korin," Dai said as the cat nodded.
"I heard that you can train someone to become stronger," Dai said to Korin.
"By drinking that water you can become stronger. But why are you interested in becoming stronger? You are already pretty strong." the sage said to Dai.
"Do you have any reasons why you want to become stronger? A friend to protect?" Korin asked Dai.
"Because I can. Motivation to protect important people? I don't have them. I just don't like being weak." Dai said to Kroin.
However, the cat didn't say anything back to him as he just stared at him for a couple of seconds.
"I see. You lost to Goku before so you want to defeat him the next time you two meet." korin said as he directly read Dai's mind.
"I could not say you have a pure heart because you don't but you don't have any bad intentions apart from wanting to be strong. Fine, I will train you to become a warrior." Korin said to Dai.
Dai just looked at him in shock thinking how could he read what is in his mind.
Korin then slowly walked towards a small fountain that possess a glass bottle on top of it.
Korin grabbed the bottle with the staff that he was holding and attached the bottle to the staff.
"I will help you to become stronger if you are able to snatch the bottle away from me," Korin said to Dai.
"Fine, I will snatch the bottle away from you in no time and force you to train me for a whole year before the tournament starts," Dai said to Korin.
"A whole year with you training me would help me catch up to him. Since the boy told me that he was only trained by you for a few days." Dai said to Korin.
He then jumped towards Korin at a very fast speed but Koirn dodged him by stepping on his head and making him fall to the ground.
"You are so fast. Is this some sort of training that is going to improve my body's condition?" Dai asked as he noticed that Korin might be up to something.
"No matter. I will easily catch you at the end of the day and will force you to be my master for the whole year." Dai said as he chased after Korin.
Korin was running away from Dai as he stands on top of a fence of the tower.
"Gotcha," Dai said as he tried to tackle Korin.
However, he missed as Korin moved away before Dai could make contact with him.
"Oh, crap." Dai cursed as he fall to the ground from the place where he spend nearly around two-day just climbing.
---------------------------
Back at the bottom of the tower.
"Do you think he is going to be Okay?" Upa asked Bora.
"Iyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa." Then Upa and Bora heard a loud yelling from the sky as the two looked at the sky.
They saw Dai falling from the top of the tower and were not shocked.
They moved a few steps away as Dai's face was slammed onto the ground.
"Fuck. That guy. I thought he was a sage. Why the hell did he let me fall from all the way up there to here?" Dai said as he got up and started to brush off the dust from his body.
He doesn't seem to be that hurt even after falling from a tower that is more than 8000 meters high.
"Oh hey," Dai said as he greeted Upa and Bora who were looking at him with strange eyes.
Then he immediately started climbing the tower again.
"It seemed that he already make it to the top of the tower," Bora said as he looked at Dai who disappeared from his sight within a few seconds.
