บท 13: Master Roshi’s Sacrifice
"We will land here." Master Roshi said to Tien.
"All right." Tien agreed and followed master roshi's orders not knowing what the old man had in mind.
The three landed and got out of the plane.
"Now turn this plane back to a capsule." Master Roshi said to Tein.
Tien followed his order.
"Tour." Master Roshi took a fighting stance and punch a small hole in the ground.
"We will hide the dragon balls here." Master Roshi said.
Chaiotzu carried all the five dragon balls that they possess and put them in the hole.
"This should make it harder for Piccolo to get his hand on them." master roshi explained.
"I see," Chaiotzu said as he covered the hole that the dragon balls are put into with his hands.
Master Roshi looked at Tien. Tien nodded as he signals that he is on board with Master Roshi's plan.
"Chaiotzu. Listen. You have to hide behind that rock. Tien Shinhan and I will try to steal the two dragon balls while Piccolo is looking for ours. Once we succeed we will pass them to you. You have to summon the dragon as soon as you get the dragon ball." master roshi said to Chaiotzu.
"You just have to say Shenlon come forth and make your wish." Master Roshi said.
"Okay," Chaiotzu said.
Master Roshi then looked at the dragon radar to check if Piccolo is near them.
"Hide." Master Roshi said.

The airship that Piccolo was on arrived at the place where Master Roshi put the dragon balls.
Piccolo got up from the throne that was on the airship and stood up.
He then walked up towards the roof of the airship which was connected to the interior that he was in.
He stood on the top of the airship as he observed the place where the dragon balls are hidden.
"Three people. I see. They might be planning to distract me and steal my dragon balls." Piccolo said.
He then smiled as he figured out a way where he can prevent their plan.
He pulls out his tongue and put the two dragon balls on his tongue.
Then swallow both of them up into his stomach.
Master Roshi and Tein who are hiding saw his actions and started to panic.
"I saw him. He ate the dragon balls." Tien said to master roshi.
"Damn. This is the worst-case scenario. Now we can't get the dragon ball without killing him." Master Roshi said.
Tien who wanted to fight Piccolo from the beginning started to prepare for the inevitable battle.
"Stay here. Let me take care of him. I drank from the fountain of youth. I won't die." Master Roshi said as he tried to stop Tien Shinhen.
"What? Are you saying I came here for nothing? I want to fight." Tien said to Master Roshi.
Master Roshi pulled out a tranquillizer and spray it on Tien Shinhen's face.
"Wha... What the?" Tien was shocked before he fell to the ground.
Tien was not fully unconscious but he was unable to move or speak.
His muscles didn't move an inch even if he is trying his best to move.
"No. Don't do it." Tien tried to stop Roshi from confronting Piccolo alone.
But he was not able to make a loud enough voice for Roshi to notice him. And even if he does he would just ignore him and carry out his task.
"Chaiotzu. Change of plans. Take care of Tien and don't show up in front of Piccolo no matter what happens." Master Roshi said.
"Okay. I understand." Chaiotzu replied.
Master Roshi walked out into the open field.
"Piccoli. I am here." He yelled as loud as he can to draw's piccolo attention.
"Comming out already. How do you know my name?" Piccolo asked.
"It doesn't matter. But I have to say I admire your courage," Piccolo said as he jumped down from the airship and landed in front of Roshi.
"The dragon balls are buried in this area. If you want them you will have to go through me." Master Roshi said to Piccolo.
"Hahaha. Are you being serious? You make me laugh." Piccolo said as he laughed at Master Roshi.
"Do you know who you are talking to? You are playing with your life this is suicidal." Piccolo said to Roshi.
"I know who I am talking to." Master Roshi said to Piccolo.
"It's not the first time we meet. The last time I was with my master I already have a meeting with you." Master Roshi said.
"Huh?" Piccolo was a little confused by Roshi's words.
"Mutatito sama." Master Roshi revealed the name of his master.
Piccolo's face quickly turned sour as he heard the name.
"Wha..." Piccolo said in shock as he immediately realized what Roshi was going to do.
Roshi pulled out a capsule and pressed its button.
He then drop it to the ground and with a large smoke screen a rice cooker with a talisman appeared.
"The Denshi jar," Piccolo said.
"I am sure you have not forgotten it yet. This is the technique that my master used to seal you within the jar." Master Roshi yelled at Piccolo.
"Take this Mafuba." He said as he performed a powerful sealing technique on Piccolo.
He would have succeeded if he have performed and properly learned the technique before but he didn't.
It was his first time using this technique and his body was far from ideal to use this technique at this time.
He missed and the rice cooker that Piccolo was supposed to seal in was knocked away before he could put Piccolo in it.
"I... I failed." Master Roshi said as his face turned into despair.
"I was not able to defeat you but one day someone who can kill you and save the earth will appear." He said as his heart gave out because of the stamina that he used during Mafuba and died in the process.
"Heh. Heh." Piccolo laughed as he realized that he won.
"I won. I don't have to be afraid of anything now." He claimed.
He spits out the two dragon balls that he ate and dropped them to the ground.
He then raised one of his fingers as the buried dragon balls come out of the ground.
