บท 4: Chapter 4: Meeting Frieza for the First Time in This Life
Vegeta understood that Kakarot's current strength was beyond comprehension. He knew he stood no chance against him.
Faced with Kakarot at full power, Vegeta didn't dare make a move for the Dragon Balls. Kakarot could subdue him effortlessly at any moment.
Accompanying Kakarot to confront Frieza presented an opportunity for Vegeta to assess just how powerful Kakarot had become. He wanted to see if he truly had the strength to defeat Frieza.
Through this incoming battle between Goku and Freezer, Vegeta also hoped to gain insight into what exactly is the legendary Super Saiyan state.
"Fine, but let me make one thing clear, Kakarot," Vegeta said after a moment's thought. "I'm not fighting Frieza alongside you."
Saiyans thrived on the thrill of individual combat, preferring to face opponents alone to savor the glory of battle.
With fiery white auras surrounding them, Goku and Vegeta soared into the sky, flying swiftly toward Frieza's location.
Meanwhile, Krillin and Gohan used the Dragon Radar to locate the hidden Dragon Balls near Frieza's spaceship, preparing to summon Dragon Porunga.

Moments later, Goku and Vegeta arrived where Frieza stood.
"Oh my, if it isn't Vegeta, the prince of all Saiyans. What brings you here now? Didn't Captain Ginyu and his team finish you off already?" Frieza asked, his voice dripping with mockery.
Despite his mocking tone, Frieza's surprise at seeing Vegeta was evident.
Vegeta's power level had been significantly lower than that of the Ginyu Force. Yet unexpectedly here he was, not only alive but seemingly completely unharmed.
It seemed that the Ginyu Special Force had been eliminated by Vegeta and his team.
Frieza's attention shifted to Goku, standing calmly beside Vegeta. Though it was his first time seeing Goku, something about him seemed familiar.
He bore a striking resemblance to a Saiyan who had resisted when Planet Vegeta was destroyed.
"Enough with the nonsense, Frieza," Vegeta snapped. "Today is the day you die!"
Confronted with Frieza's skeptical look, Vegeta offered no further explanation.
"Oh, ho, ho~ Vegeta, such a sense of humor," Frieza laughed, his voice dripping with contempt. "You've only just defeated the Ginyu Force. Do you really think you stand a chance against me?"
Vegeta smirked. "Listen carefully, Frieza. The man standing beside me is the one you fear the most—the legendary Super Saiyan. You can't win. Surrender now and save yourself the humiliation."
Frieza's smug demeanor faded. His eyes narrowed dangerously as he glared at Vegeta.
Vegeta's arrogance only fueled Frieza's rage further.
"It seems you've grown tired of living, Vegeta," Frieza sneered, his voice seething with anger. "Once I'm done with your so-called Super Saiyan ally, I'll make sure you experience a pain worse than death. You'll learn firsthand just how powerful I am."
Vegeta had never spoken to him with such audacity. Instead of pleading for his life, Vegeta had issued a threat.
After hearing the confrontation between Vegeta and Frieza, Goku calmly interjected,
"Vegeta's not wrong. Frieza, you're no match for me as you are now. Why not go back and train? We can have a proper fight once you've improved."
"You hateful Saiyan monkeys, Even when you're about to die, you dare provoke me again and again. I'll kill all of you today!"
Goku's calm words had utterly infuriated Frieza.
"Let me show you my true power and the vast gulf between us, you Saiyan monkeys!"
Frieza ceased hiding his strength and began unleashing his full power.
When Freezer was born, he was so powerful that he couldn't properly control his power, so he sealed it away. Only through transformation can he unleash his full strength.
Originally, Freezer would gradually transform during battle, but now, enraged, he jumped straight into his final transformation.
As Frieza roared, a purple aura erupted around him, and his energy surged dramatically.
The aura spun wildly, causing the ground beneath him to crack in a perfect circle. The ocean churned violently, waves crashing as if under his command. Even the surrounding trees swayed uncontrollably in response to his power.
"What? Frieza's energy… it's so terrifying!" Vegeta muttered.
The sheer malice and overwhelming strength of Frieza's aura froze Vegeta in place. He felt an invisible weight pressing down on him, filling him with the oppressive sensation of impending death.
Even from afar, Krillin and Gohan, near Frieza's ship, felt the tremors of his energy. Anxiety gripped them as they worried for Goku.
With a final burst of light, Frieza completed his transformation. He now stood taller, his combat armor having shattered. While his appearance seemed deceptively refined, the energy radiating from him was beyond anything Vegeta had ever felt.
Though Frieza's appearance hadn't changed that much, the overwhelming aura inside his body shocked Vegeta to the point where he could hardly move.
"What's the matter, Vegeta?" Frieza sneered. "You're so frightened you can't even speak after seeing my final form?"
Instead of immediately attacking, Frieza relished the moment, mocking Vegeta's terror.
"Let's start with you first, nameless Saiyan," Frieza said, turning his attention to Goku.
"Son Goku, my name is Son Goku. I'm a Saiyan raised on Earth, and I'm the one who's about to defeat you."
Son Goku was completely unaffected by Freezer's aura and stared directly at him.
Frieza's eyes narrowed, but he said nothing more. In an instant, he was in front of Goku, aiming to teach this "Saiyan monkey" a lesson.
Frieza's rapid headbutt struck Goku squarely, sending him hurtling toward the mountain behind him like a rocket.
"This is as far as it goes..."
But before he could finish his thought, a golden light erupted from beneath the fallen rocks.
'BOOM!!!'
The debris exploded outward, and Son Goku emerged, his hair standing tall and glowing golden.
At that moment, Goku had completed his transformation into a Super Saiyan.
Golden flames of energy roared around him, and his aura, far stronger than Frieza's, surged violently toward him.
"The legend… Could it be true? Do the golden Saiyans really exist?"
Freezer stared at the drastically changed Son Goku in front of him and suddenly felt sweat running down his back.
The Super Saiyan transformation also shocked Vegeta.
['So this is a Super Saiyan…? Damn it! How could a low-class warrior surpass me, the Prince of all Saiyans, and attain the form of the legend?']
No matter how much Vegeta rejected it, he couldn't deny the truth standing before him: Goku had become the legendary Super Saiyan.
"Then let's begin the real battle, Frieza."
