บท 4: I'm Not Weak

As much as I like the challenge of proving myself, I need to keep a lid on my excitement. Wouldn't want to give away all my cards now would I? No, but who says that I need to give them away to have a fun time while showing them I know how to take care of myself?

"Haha. You're pretty funny mister..."

"Ah how could I make such a blunder," he states as he dramatically jumps at his own rudeness and takes a deep bow. "My name is Ozpin. Professor Ozpin, I am the Headmaster of Beacon Academy,"

That gave me pause moving on to the final cookie.

"And I must say that your sister truly showed much promise. So much that she is being admitted a semester early for classes."

"So if I somehow show you how capable I am, I can go to Beacon Academy. That's the deal?"

He took a mug from Ms. Goodwitch, and sipped his drink.

"Well, we planned to take you in whether you show us or not."

"Eh?"

So many coincidences when meeting David, and now he's right about things working itself out is making it seem like he practically predicted the future.

"Qrow has taught you much hasn't he? Since you were the age of five years of age I presume?"

"Since I was three years old."

That made Ms. Goodwitch give me a second glance over.

"And none of his...habits rubbed off on you?" she chimed clearly skeptical.

"I'm not old enough to drink...yet," I retorted. She might have a nice body but she sure knows how to get under my skin. Just because he drinks doesn't mean he's not hurting. Moreover it's because he's hurting that he drinks so much. More so now knowing he could be my father.

'Pompous Bitch.'

"I'm sure if I had to deal with stressful situations all the time I'd wish for a release too. How one goes about it is different depending upon the time, situation, and person."

How could I have been so blind though. We have the same hair color for crying out loud. My skill with hand to hand combat far exceeds both my 'sisters' and if Qrows words about my abilities being on par with his own when he was a child was true, then everything falls into place.

"Wise words for someone so young," Ozpin sighed.

He had nodded his head towards her. It must have been a signal for her to move the table and chairs. I stood up from my seat and she used her semblance to telekinetically move everything all the way to the wall.

"If only Qrow's character could be seen from the outside as well, it'd bring joy to this old man's heart and to the rest of this country."

"If only this country deserved him you mean?" I whispered barely able to pass under their ears. I hate politics to a T. Much less a dialogue where every reply must be yes or else its a dead end for building relations.

"Sorry?" he asked with a eyebrow raised.

"I said if only the country didn't condemn him."

I eyed Glynda as the words left my mouth. I could tell she felt uncomfortable when I did so.

"Do you have a sense of Patriotism young Doug?" Glynda asked me when she took a stance opposite of me.

"No. I can't say that I do."

"Then what do you plan on doing in the future? Would you let Remnant fall to the Grimm epidemic that it faces to this very day?"

"...." this has gone on long enough. I want to shut this woman up. Now. Not because of the sentence she just spoke, but simply because her attitude pisses me off. I don't consider myself an abusive person, but I would not mind at all making her my Bitch hanging on my every word.

"A bit motivated aren't we Doug?" Professor Ozpin said as he walked beside Glynda.

'Two on one now? He can't be serious.'

"I hope you enjoy our special treat then. Do try to take your frustrations out on dear Sabe."

"Sabe?"

He tapped his cane on the floor and the floor underneath me dissolved into nothingness, leaving me to land into a dimly lit room.

'If they won't be the ones fighting me then who-'

"GRRRRRRRRRRR"

A deep and bass growl filled the room behind me. I slowly turned and saw a 6 meter high saber tooth gorilla with arms the width of full grown oak tree. Its body was covered with thick white plated armor and its eyes glowed so dark it seemed as they were bleeding. So this is Sabe huh?

"ROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"

It began to roar and beat its chest at me.

"Well," I said rolling my neck and flexing my back muscles awake. "Time to warm up I guess."

As he saw I was still there not running away, he charged. Seeing that I had few options I charged it also. As we came so close I could smell him,(not a pleasant fragrance might I add) I skidded underneath his reach and kicked it's back foot, bringing it to its knees, and punched it in it's now undefended face. But before I could something grabbed a hold of my legs and slung me into the nearest wall.

<With Ozpin and Goodwitch>

"Are you sure about this? Those walls were made to stand at least thirty concussive tons of force? He could die, and Qrow would go after both our heads."

"Do not fret Glynda. I've seen what he's capable of." Oz replied as both their eyes thoroughly monitored the screen. Just as he said that the Grimm beast flung poor Doug into the wall causing a crater to form.

"I sure hope you have your apology drinks ready," Ms. Goodwitch sighed. "He won't take a short bottle when he hears you let the beast he caught fight his nephew as a test."

Doug then bolted out of the debris cloud and impacted into the beasts chest, causing it to fly into the opposite wall.

"Remind me that he prefers brown compared to clear if you would. And to charge it to the academy's business card."

"If you say so Oz."

Glynda strutted off to go fetch the materials to help their situation while Ozpin managed to keep the situation itself under control.

<Back With Doug>

I flew into its chest and pushed with all my might so that he could get a taste of what it felt like to be hurled into a bomb sheltered wall. As the dust cleared he shook his head and glared at me.

"Well that doesn't look pretty. Only a mother could love a mug that ugly."

"Grrrrraaaaaagh!"

Perhaps he understood my words or he was super agitated about being flung back he charged me again. However this time I dodged and began to work him down.

He swiped at my body and I'd barely be outside of his grasp zone. Then he did the unthinkable. He began to smash and break the ground.

"Grah! Ragh! Graaaaaaaaaghaaaaaagh!"

'What is he doing? Did he lose a couple screws when I hit him?'

As I began to think what possibly was going on he picked up a shard of the concrete mixed with steel and hurled it in my direction....oh. So it's not as stupid as I thought it was. KRAK!

I barely had enough time to raise my arms into an X and have them take the brunt of damage as it crumbled to dust.

'I guess it's time I get a little serious then.'

*Whoosh*

As he picked another shard to hit me with I bolted above his head ready to axe kick him into the ground, but he parried it with his bone shielded arm.

'Strong and fast aren't you?'

The Gorilla swiped his left arm with the shard hoping to crush the boy.

Doug was surprised at the Grimm's speed and reacted quickly by immediately blocking his head with his arms again, but this time the hit sent him flying.

Doug palmed the ground trying to slow his impact leaving a decent line of clawing marks on the ground.

The Gorilla didn't waste any time and it threw itself at him as it made a growl of savagery.

Doug felt the hairs on his arms and neck stand up in reflex to the oncoming danger. Instinctively he moved his body to the side and he managed to see the paw of the beast already doing a upwards swipe mid-way, however it missed.

Doug then retaliated by using his downed palm to strike the gorilla in the ribcage. The beast then quite roughly performed a weird elbow strike using his armored right arm. Doug dodged it with a step to the side and countered with a quick and more precise side kick in the same spot again, this time harder causing something to snap out of joint.

"GRRRRAAGH!"

The beast belched out at least a gallon of black liquid.

The two stared at each other with a perfect hatred, then proceeded to do some lightning fast exchanges of dozens of punches, and kicks. Each one of them either blocked, parried, or made their attacks connect. Doug more so than the savage beast.

*Boom*

*Bang*

*Boom*

*Pwap!*

Doug could feel the sweat start to accumulate on his upper body and decided it was time to finish this charade.

The next attack was a chop down towards his head and he caught it with his left, lifted his right leg over it and pulled back snapping the arm of the beast into two. Sabe screamed in pain and began to hobble away in retreat. But it was too late. The boy had jumped onto the shoulders of the Gorilla Grimm and wrapped his legs around his neck and took his arms around its forehead. The dread began to take over the beast as its air supply was beginning to run out.

"It was an honor fighting you. However you were just too weak in my eyes to be put down like this." Doug whispered in his ear before gripping the beasts' chin and snapping its neck.

Plagiarism? Nope, just inspiration. I mean really, I never wrote one of these before where its a fan fiction. Cut a guy some slack would ya? No? Fine....sigh.
