Mu Chuqing held the glass and slowly swirled the wine, watching as the red liquid swirled around, the shiny lights penetrating the translucent reddish liquid making it crystal clear.
Ye Yun frowned, but Mu Chuqing had already straightened up before slowly pouring the wine back into the wine barrel.
The sound of the wine streaming back into the wine barrel rang throughout the quiet room, sounding surprisingly melodic like a sound of flowing stream.
Mu Chuqing's lips were curled up in a cold smile the entire time. When the wine in the glass was all finished, only then she raised her head and looked at Ye Yun.
Mu Chuqing's expression was cold, but her eyes were full of hatred.
Shocked, Ye Yun took a few steps back.
"Chuqing, are you done with your nonsense. If you have anything against me, come directly at me if you want, don't try to intimidate the elders!"
Chang Chu suddenly spoke, as she stood in front of Ye Yun, looking righteous and courageous.
There was a buzz from the crowd, where many showered compliments on Chang Chu while also directing their criticisms at Mu Chuqing.
"Alright, I can't bargain with an elder. Since you've stepped up, I shall fulfill your wish!"
The moment Mu Chuqing finished speaking, "whoosh…"
Everyone was shocked at the scene unfolding before them, not having time to react or reason behind such an act.
Chang Chu, who was like a beautiful and graceful lady a moment ago, was now drenched from head to toe. Crumbs of cream cake hung onto her hair and the shattered glass pieces glistening under the lights.
With a "crash," Mu Chuqing threw the icy cold wine barrel on the ground and patted the damp area on her clothes. "I'm not very well versed in this, splashed on myself…"
Chang Chu raised her head and looked at the woman in front of her. She bit her lips as her body shook as she glanced menacingly at Mu Chuqing.
Mu Chuqing smiled and crossed her arms, stretching her neck in an attempt to search for someone in the crowd.
"Ms. Chang, why aren't you crying now. This is unlike you. Previously, you would instantly shed tears when you looked at me…"
"Mu Chuqing, what are you doing?!"
Ye Yun finally reacted, she screamed at Mu Chuqing, her tone filled with shock and anger.
"What am I doing? Ms. Sheng, shouldn't you praise me? This is one of the rare times I have behaved obediently. If not you'll be in her state now!"
"You…"
Ye Yun pointed at Mu Chuqing's nose as she shook with anger, but she could not continue speaking as if robbed of the ability to speak.
"Ms. Sheng, you're lucky to have such a good daughter-in-law. I'm really happy for you!"
"Sunny?"
A voice tinged with doubt sounded. Mu Chuqing looked up, and her eyes were filled with joy when she saw the new-comer.
"Able?"
Mu Chuqing was surprised and happy when she saw the elegant middle-aged caucasian man dressed in a blue-striped shirt.
The man had a look of disbelief as he exclaimed, "My God!"
"Right! You Are My Sunshine!"
"Yes! My Best Friend!"
The duo smiled and hugged.
"Sorry, I wore the baby that you gave me!" apologized Mu Chuqing as she smiled at Able.
Able shook his head and said, "No, its beauty and value only outshines when you wear it!"
"That's what I thought too! I plan to wear it for every celebration!" Mu Chuqing answered smilingly.
