Seeing that William Cole remained silent, Ruth Dawn didn't press on the matter further. She looked around the lobby and didn't spot a single soul.
She then walked towards the elevator, only to find that even the elevator was out of service. Her brow furrowed, she dialed a number, "Vincent Torres, you don't think that by not showing up, I have no way of dealing with Horizon Group, do you?"
A voice came from the phone, "Director Dawn, you've misunderstood."
"The thing is, today is just not a good time for your visit. The company is undergoing renovations, and there has been a problem with the electricity supply upstairs."
"So we decided to take a three-day break to repair some of the aging circuits in the building and to allow the renovations to proceed unhindered. It's also a good chance for the employees to have a proper rest."
"Director Dawn, we're really not avoiding you. How about you come back in three days?" Vincent Torres said, his face wearing a smile.
