บท 11: Passing days
It didn't take Luke long to join them, Ritha took it upon herself to do the introductions for the guys and not long they took off to Luke place.

Zelna's pov
When Luke came over to us, Ritha introduced Luke to the other two and when she was done I asked Luke if he came by car which he said yes to. I then told him that he's driving everyone home. When we got to his car I took the front passenger seat and the others got into the back of the car. As we were driving I told Luke to drop Ritha and Erin first then we'll head to his place. He wanted to know why we weren't gonna drop the other two off as well and I told him that we're gonna need their help. He then ask what we'd need help with but instead of answering him, I asked him if he paid his rent for next month. He told me he didn't, that he was gonna pay it this Friday but I told him that it wouldn't be necessary. He looked at at me confused and when I didn't say anything else he looked at Cleo through the rear mirror. When Cleo saw him look at her, she just smiled at him and shook her head. We soon got to Erin's house first and bid him goodbye, then we drove to Rita's house. When we got there I told Luke to wait a bit and got out of the car. As Ritha and I walked up to their door I asked her for a few card boxes. After she entered and brought out the boxes, I walked over to Luke's side of the car and told him to open the car boot so that I can put the boxes in it. Once that was done I told him we can go to his place now. He still looked at me confused and I told him to just drive, he'll understand what's going on soon.
When we got to his place I told Rhayne to help me get the boxes and told Luke and Cleo to head on up to his place ahead of us. I also told Luke to get his clothes and stuff out of the closet and cubboards. Then I shooed him away, when I did that Cleo pulled Luke by the arm away from me and Rain. Honestly I wanted to talk with Rhayne alone for a bit that's why I made them go on ahead.
When those two were out of sight, I turned to Rhayne who was holding some of the boxes. I took the ones he had in his hand and he smiled at me, now at this point even though it looked like I was okay, it doesn't mean that I really was okay. For some reason I was still seething on the inside and I wasn't sure why I was feeling all this anger. But when Rhayne smiled at me just now, all that anger seemed to just vanished like it was never there. It was really weird but at the same time I was relieved that it was gone since I didn't think it's right for me to be feeling like that.
When Rhayne got the other boxes out of the car and turned to me I said thank you to him and he just said not to mention it. When he tried to take the boxes I was holding I chuckled and told him it wasn't necessary but he was really adamant about taking them so I gave him three of the boxes I was holding and told him that that's all he was getting from me and no more. He then did this really adorable pouty face which really made me laugh and soon he joined me in laughing. When I heard him laugh I felt this warm feeling come over me, it almost made me melt right there and then. We then made our way into the building of Luke's flat and got into the elevator. While in the elevator, it was luckily just the two of us so I turned to him and asked him straight up if he would please keep what he saw this morning a secret. He looked surprised at my request and asked why I did I not want to tell my friends about it and I told him that the truth is that I've been having the same dream for the past two weeks but this morning was the first time something like that happen. It was the first time that the wounds I got in my dreams appeared in reality. I told him that it's not like I can prove the wound was there either since it disappeared. He told me that he understood what I was trying to say but he was also sure that Cleo will want to know what we were talking about this morning. I then told him that I was going to tell her about the nightmares but I'll be keeping the rest just between me and him. He then did something that threw me off a bit. He took my hand and squeezed it and told me that everything will be okay that he's there for me. I thought it was strange that he would do that for me since we were practically strangers to each other, but for some reason I felt really secure and like I could just trust him. I wonder why that is though.
As we were talking about this we arrived at Luke's place. When we walked in I saw Luke and Cleo stop what they were doing and look at us. I was wondering why they were looking at us so strangely when I noticed Cleo smirking at me and Luke lifting an eyebrow while looking at a place between me and Rhayne. When I looked to where Luke was staring, I saw that Rhayne and I were still holding hands. When I saw that I could feel my face heating up and to make it worse I heard Rhayne mutter to himself how cute. When I heard him say that I looked up at him and saw that he was looking at me as well. Did he mean to say that he thinks I'm cute? When I thought that, I could feel myself blushing even more and I'm pritty sure I could be mistaken for a tomato's cousin right now!
I came back from my thoughts when I heard Luke laugh and quickly let Rhayne's hand go, then went over to the side of one of the couches and put the boxes down. I then went over to Luke and dragged him over to his bedroom while leaving Rhayne to Cleo. Honestly I was just running away from Rhayne so that I don't become anymore redder then I already am.
When we got to the bedroom, Luke took me in his arms and just held me. He held me for some time and when he finally let me go and looked at me, I saw tears running down his face. I wanted to say something but he shook his head and just smiled at me. I smiled back at him and wiped his tears, then told him we should finish packing. He nodded and soon we got everything out of his bedroom and moved it to the sitting room. It would seem Cleo had already told him what was going on so I didn't need to explain to him about him moving in with us.
Luke didn't have a lot of things so we finished packing really fast and after putting everything in the car, and by everything I mean the six medium boxes and four mini boxes, Luke dropped off his key at the flat managers room. Then we went on our way.
On our way we dropped off Cleo at her house and then went home. Luke wanted to know where he should drop off Rhayne but I told him that Rhayne's our new neighbor. When we got home it was a little past 6pm, yeah I know your thinking that it should be a little later then that but for some reason today was really dragging itself. Anyway as I was saying when we got home Miss Misa was waiting for us outside and told Luke to pull into the driveway and to drive straight through to the back of the house. When we parked at the back of the house and got out, Miss Misa came up to Luke and hugged him, saying welcome home to him. Then she gave him the key and told him that he wasn't moving into the house but he will be moving into the the building behind the house. You see a few years ago EM built a little flat in the backyard saying that our yard was big enough for another building but I think he just wanted Luke to move into it, since he would constantly say things like if Luke were his son then he would have moved Luke into that flat or if Luke wanted to visit he can stay there etc. You get the point right? It was obvious that he built that place for Luke.
Luke took the key from Miss Misa and then he, me and Rhayne started moving the boxes into the flat. There were already cubboards, closets, basically the place was already furnished with everything Luke would need. Miss Misa had joined us at some point.
When it was 8pm, Rhayne's mom Mrs Darren or as she prefer it, aunty Laina, called for Rhayne to go home. When Rhayne started to to say his goodnights to everyone, Luke bumped my elbow and gestured for me to see Rhayne off. I smiled at Luke while telling Rhayne I'd walk him to the gate which he gladly excepted. When we got to the gate he turned to me and reminded me that if I ever needed anything or any help with anything then to tell him, he made me promise to do so. Yet again I found it strange that he would go that far for a stranger but at the same time I also felt that it's only natural for me to rely on him. I thanked him for his help today and that I hope he has a good evening for the rest of the night. Then I bid him goodnight and watch him walk into their yard. When he was about to walk into their house I whispered a thank you for helping me gain control of myself earlier, since I really felt like if it wasn't for him I would still be angry.
As I said my little thanks I saw Rhayne stopped at the door with one of his feet already inside the house and the other still outside, he then turned to me, smiled and waved at me, and then went into the house. For a moment there I almost thought that he heard me but that's impossible right?
I then went back to Luke's and helped him finish settling into his new home. In between unpacking and setting up all his things, we had dinner and talked about Rhayne and Erin, also about Sarah etc. With all the unpacking and chatting we got done at around 2.30am. When I got to bed I was super tired but guess what when I woke up for school, I realized that I didn't have any nightmares and that made me really happy.
When I got ready for school I remembered that I left my bike at school and thought that I would be walking but thankfully when I went down for breakfast Luke was there and told me he was gonna drop me at school. After breakfast I told Luke I will open the front gate and that I'd wait for him in front of the house. When I got outside and opened the gate I saw Rhayne and another guy coming out of their house. When Rhayne saw me he came over to me while dragging the other guy along. When he got to me we said good morning to each other and then he introduced the guy with him as his little brother named Jean. I could see the resemblance between them. I told Jean to call me Zelna. Rhayne then asked me how l slept last night and I told him I slept really well and no nightmares. Then I asked Rhayne how he was getting to school and Jean told me that they have to walk to school today since both their parents went to work early today. I then told them that they could ride with us and Jean literally yelled out yes which made both me and Rhayne laugh. As we were laughing Luke pulled up to us and I told him that Rhayne and Jean would be going with us. As we were getting into the car Jean asked me if he could ride in the front passenger seat all the while looking at Luke, I told him that he could since it looked like he was having a love at first sight moment with Luke. And was that my imagination or was Luke having one as well?

When we got to school I told Luke that I'd see him later at home and to call me if anything happens at work. He told me he was an adult and that he could take care of himself but I simply told him that even adults have difficult times where they need help or protection. He smiled at me and promised that if something happens then I'd be the first one he'd contact. Then he left for work. As we were walking onto the school premises Jean ask me what I was talking to Luke about and Rhayne answered for me by saying he would tell him later. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Cleo, Ritha, Erin and another guy coming over to us. I soon learned that the guy's name was Zain, he was one of the new kids at school and he was also Rhayne's friend.
We entered the school building and went to our lockers to get what we'd need for the day. While I was getting my things, Cleo and Ritha came over to me, seems like they got their things quite fast. And the reason they were so fast was apparently because they wanted to ask me about yesterday morning, about what Rhayne and I were talking about. So I closed my locker after getting all my stuff, then told them about the nightmares I've been having and that Rhayne had heard me scream. I didn't tell them everything. I didn't want them to worry about me but they told me to tell them if i need anything and I told them I would. While we were talking, we heard Sarah and her friends nearby and when we looked towards them, we saw them over at Rhayne's locker. She was trying to hang onto Rhayne's arm and when I saw that, for some reason I didn't like her being so close to him. So without thinking I walked up to Rhayne. When Rhayne saw me, he turned to me and smiled that damn sexy smile. For a moment I was dazed but Sarah's voice brought me back. It seems she hadn't noticed me yet, not that I cared right now.
When I got close enough to them I asked Rhayne if he got everything that he needed and he told me yes he did. At this point Sarah finally realized I was there and hi to hello, she looked at me as if she was scared of me. Well that doesn't matter to me. When Rhayne told me he got everything, he tried to come over to me but Sarah, even though she looked scared, pulled Rhayne back by the arm. When I saw her do that, I snapped a little. I went right up to Rhayne took Sarah's hand off his arm, then took his hand in mine and pulled him to me. At this point I didn't have to look at Cleo and Ritha to know they were surprised by my actions cause hell even I was shocked at myself, not for what I was doing but for what I said to Sarah. I told her to back the hell off cause Rhayne is mine and mine alone, and I don't share. I really don't know whats come over me at this point but I really feel like Rhayne is mine.
I then pulled Rhayne towards the classroom and when we sat at our seats, I placed my head on my desk wanting really bad for the earth to swallow me up. I felt someone tap me on the shoulder and when I turned towards the person I saw Rhayne smirking at me. I hate to admit it but damn that smirk is hot and I could feel myself becoming a tomato's cousin again. I tried to tell him that I don't know why I said that and that he should forget it, but he told me that it's not a problem and he doesn't mind if I tell others that he's mine. When he said this he lightly licked his lower lip and when I saw that I could literally hear my brain going into blank mode. I couldn't think straight. What did he mean by he doesn't mind me telling others his mine? And wait is he... Is he flirting with me right now.? Damnit what the hell is happening here?
I was brought out of my thoughts by the classroom door slamming shut and saw Mr Adams in front of the class. Soon classes started and thanks to that my mind was distracted from Rhayne for the rest of the day or I should say days, since we got a lot of assignments for basically all our subjects. With this many assignments I didn't have time to worry about what's happening between me and Rhayne.
The days passed by as we were pritty much swamped with school work not to mention those nightmares that I was having, yeah they didn't go away but I have learned to cope with them somehow, wounds and all. I figured that I should just treat them like any normal nightmares even though I wake up with the wounds from my dreams but hey it's not like I can do something about them seeing as the wounds would just disappear after awhile. And whenever I would have these nightmares, after waking up I would often hear a tap on my balcony door. And it would be Rain coming to check up on me. Sometimes he would stay until I would fall back asleep but other times well let's just say I would wake up in his arms. Many times I would snuggle deeper into his embrace and fall back asleep especially when it's the weekend. He and I have become really close over these past days and I really like being with him.
Life was in a way sort of peaceful, well until that happened...
