32.94% Dimensional Kaguya Ōtsutsuki / Chapter 170: Real World

บท 170: Real World

After entering the wooden house, a bright light shone directly towards her, and Kaguya couldn't help but raise her hand to block it and close her eyes. After a moment, when she had adjusted, she slowly opened her eyes.

Upon opening her eyes, Kaguya was taken aback, glancing around at her surroundings. To her surprise, the inside of the wooden house was incredibly spacious despite appearing small from the outside; it was as large as several football fields. It seemed to be some kind of spatial magic or barrier-related phenomenon.

What caught Kaguya's attention was a white sphere of light floating abruptly in the air, gently pulsing and emitting a soft white glow, with tendrils of light swirling around it.

Standing still for a moment to ensure there was no danger, Kaguya let out a small sigh of relief and walked toward the white light sphere. In unknown spaces, it's always best to be cautious.

Kaguya walked gracefully and elegantly, approaching the white light sphere. She blinked her clear eyes, curiously observing the sphere in front of her.

The sphere gave her a strange feeling; although it appeared to be made of energy, it seemed vibrant and full of life, almost as if it were alive.

Unable to resist, Kaguya reached out her white, delicate arm towards the sphere. The surface of the white sphere felt incredibly soft, almost weightless.

At that moment, a metallic-sounding voice echoed in Kaguya's mind.

"Congratulations, you have completed the mission. As a reward for completing the mission, you can use your points here to exchange for different items and functions."

As it spoke, a large projection screen appeared in front of Kaguya, filled with dense text and illustrated explanations. Items ranged from small recovery potions and elixirs to extraordinary abilities like controlling time, manipulating space at will, and rewriting history. However, upon seeing the countless zeros in the price tags, Kaguya immediately skipped over them.

After carefully reading through, Kaguya's eyes started to feel strained, and she didn't find anything particularly appealing. Either the abilities were too weak and uninteresting, or the points required were excessively high, beyond her current ability to afford.

Moreover, Kaguya had one urgent desire—to regain her male form, which was what she wanted most. Although she had lived as a woman for many years, she still had the heart of a man, mainly because she wanted to flirt with girls.

Thinking about it made her feel a little sad. It had been thirty years, and she still hadn't had any romantic encounters; she was still a virgin. In the Naruto world, she had finally started a relationship with a girl, but then she immediately had to leave, not giving her any opportunity.

However, restoring her male identity required 1000 points, and she had no idea how long it would take to accumulate that much. It certainly wouldn't happen overnight. Kaguya thought since there weren't any good abilities she wanted now, she might as well save her points and see if anything better came up later.

Just as Kaguya was about to close the screen, something caught her eye—a small, inconspicuous piece of information tucked away in a corner.

Return to the original real world for one month, consuming 10 points.

Kaguya was taken aback, her finger stopping unconsciously.

Although she had spent over a decade in the world of Naruto, Kaguya had never forgotten the world she originally came from. No matter how wonderful the world of Naruto was, and no matter how influential she became within it, it always felt unreal to her, as if she were dreaming.

Even though she had made many friends there, had many close companions, and even had her own little place, there was a time she thought she might live there forever.

But the system prompt about completing her mission snapped her out of that feeling. It made her realize that she did not belong there, that she was merely a passerby, and it was not where she was meant to live forever. This realization filled her with a profound sense of loneliness, like a venomous snake coiling in her heart.

Now, Kaguya felt an inexplicable urge, almost uncontrollable: she wanted to go back, to return to see how the place she once lived in had changed.

Kaguya was not someone who typically indulged in nostalgia, but after experiencing so much in the world of Naruto, she felt incredibly weary, not just physically, but more so mentally.

In the world of Naruto, she had carried many burdens and endured much. It was a world filled with killing, a place rife with battles and bloodshed. She was constantly on high alert, never daring to let her guard down. Over time, this inevitably led to a build-up of negative emotions.

Her decision to return wasn't just about revisiting her past home; it was also about allowing herself to truly relax. She was tired of a life filled with endless fighting.

Her snow-white, jade-like fingers gently tapped on the option.

"Do you confirm?"

"Confirm."

A golden light descended from the sky, wrapping around Kaguya in delicate strands, enveloping her completely. It was warm, like soaking in a hot spring, causing her entire body to relax involuntarily.

The sky was covered with dark clouds, a gray haze pressing downward, and a damp chill permeated the air. A slight breeze brought a hint of coolness. Though it was still early, it felt like dusk.

On the streets, the lights were just coming on, and the neon signs gradually lit up in a colorful display. The streets were bustling with cars and people hurrying by. Perhaps because of the imminent rain, people quickened their pace, and the sounds of the city gradually faded into the distance.

"According to our station's report, earlier today, a civilian aircraft flying from Yaodu to the capital experienced a malfunction. Two of its four engines caught fire, and debris from the engines fell from the wings, striking the landing gear located under the fuselage, making landing impossible. The situation is extremely critical. We now connect to our reporter for a detailed report."

Kaguya stood silently, staring blankly at the large screen in the square, speechless. The loud music from the dancing grannies in the square was clear in her ears, yet she felt as if she were in another world.
