Ava turned her head toward Lilith, her grin unapologetic. "Of course, Lilith! You're the protagonist—or were, anyway. Technically, I was doing you a favor by not wasting the food they served for your event. You're welcome."
Nova scoffed, glancing at her in the rearview mirror. "A favor? You practically raided the buffet. I wouldn't be surprised if the staff is hunting for their missing plates right now."
Ava smirked, giving an exaggerated shrug. "Well, they should've kept a better watch over their stuff, then. It's not my fault they underestimated me."
