บท 120: The Cursed Ruler

When Zakum returned to his castle, the night was dark and gloomy. 

The experience of seeing Miraven being taken away from the earth and into a realm he could not access was draining. He felt raw and sore in his heart as if he had lost something he could never capture again. 

It was stupid. 

Up to the final moment, Miraven never gave him the time of day. She had remained aloof, and her attitude during their best conversations did not show romantic interest. She treated him as a platonic friend on her best days. 

He had tried every trick that he had in his books, but she did not budge. 

At first, he thought that she was playing hard to get. After all, he was a demi-angel and she was a subhuman who had washed up into Panthalassa from the outside world. He believed that she just wanted to see him work for it a little. 

Therefore, he decided to jump all of her hoops.
