We were on our way towards Liyue. Jean and the other two girls talked with their counterparts, while Havria and I talked with Lumine. I was carrying Havria by the way. Lumine said that she felt like she's heard the name Havria before, so I pointed it out to her. I also kinda slipped the information that I had another wife…
"How many wives do you have?"
"Two…"
"Haah, I assume you have multiple lovers as well?"
"Ahaha…"
She just sighed and rubbed her temples. Pretty fair reaction. We just continued on walking in silence for a few minutes. It was starting to get awkward so I asked her why she was traveling with the Knights of Favonius towards Liyue. She said that it was an important business and even she doesn't know, Ningguang* just asked her to deliver a letter to Jean* and now she ended up escorting them.
"I see… Well, since we're here, we might as well join you all."
"That would be nice…"
After a few hours of walking, with some rest in between. Waiting for us at the gates into Liyue Harbor were Ningguang*, Keqing*, and Ganyu*. Of course, some Milelith as well.
"What the…"
The Ganyu* of this world was wearing… rather daring clothes… She was wearing a body stocking for fuck sake! I heard some of the knights whistle and I swear I felt my rage building up. This may not be my wife, but seeing someone who looks exactly like her wearing something like this and getting perverted gazes is triggering me.
"Hon? I think you're making it harder for them to breathe."
"Ah…"
I hadn't noticed that they stopped in their tracks and were gasping for air. Whoops, too much pressure. I released all the pressure that I was emitting and smiled at them. Jean, Eula, and Barbara recovered more quickly, brushing it off as me being ridiculous again. Gah, that hurts.
The others looked at me in horror. Even Lumine looked at me that way. Hm, it's fine… right?
I sighed as they slowly recovered and started walking towards the gate again. I followed behind them, the other three girls beside me.
"Welcome, Acting Grandmaster Jean*." said Ningguang. She then looked at the others and then at us. Her eyes widened as she saw another Jean. "What the…"
"Ah, my brother will explain it." Lumine caught wind of what Ningguang* was thinking rather quickly.
"Your brother?!" said Keqing*.
Lumine nodded as I sighed and put Havria down. I walked forward and did a small wave. However, before I could speak, I felt a presence watching us. I looked around using both the Elemental and Life sight of my eyes, but I didn't see anything.
'Weird…' I shook the feeling off and faced the now confused Qixing members again.
"Hi there, the name's Aether and I'm Lumine's brother." I casually greeted. The Milelith looked shocked. They looked like they were thinking, "How could someone introduce themself so casually in front of Lady Ningguang?". Quick answer, I've done this before. Oh wait, I forgot to ask Lumine something. I already knew Dvalin was defeated just by the state Mondstadt was in. If that wasn't proof enough, the Knights of Favonius leaving Mondstadt for a journey to Liyue means that Mondstadt isn't in immediate danger anymore.
"By the way, Lumine. Have you defeated Osial yet? And if so, how?"
"Oh? Yeah, we've already defeated that Hydra thing. As for how we defeated it, the Adepti concentrated their powers on me and we sacrificed the Jade Chamber. It was quite unfortunate, but we didn't have a choice." My eyes widened at her answer. Seriously?
"So wait, the Jade Chamber no longer exists here?"
"Yes? Why?"
"Sorry to interrupt, but shall we take this somewhere else?" Ningguang* interjected us. Ah, she's right. The knights are tired as well… Hm, I guess we could just go to my Realm?
"Alright then. Please, tell everybody to get ready. I'll take you all to my Realm." I said as I looked at Ningguang*. She just nodded.
"Wait, Realm? Does that mean you're…" Ganyu* asked. I smiled. Fuck, still can't get used to seeing her wear that. Even though this technically isn't my wife… I might ask her to wear something like that when we return.
"Yep." I answered. As I started to go back to where Havria and the other three were.
"Wow…" she gasped in awe. Lumine looked confused while Ningguang* told the Milelith to get ready for something. Seeing this, Jean told her other self to tell the knights to get ready as well. I'm glad she caught up on what was going on.
"Are we going to your Realm again?" asked Havria as she latched onto my arm again. I nodded as I patted her head.
Ningguang* and Jean* told me everyone was ready. I snapped my fingers and once more, a rift opened behind me and quickly consumed us all. Some readied their weapons and some just looked like they accepted their fates… What the actual fuck? Aren't you guys supposed to protect the Qixing? And you knights! Where the fuck did chivalry go?!
I sighed in exasperation as they all recovered from the shock of being transported somewhere. I was quite surprised that Havria sighed along with me. I guess she thought it was pretty pathetic of them to get scared as well.
They all gasped in awe as the girls returned back to their seats where they had tea earlier. Lisa* seemed like she wanted to join them, so I made a seat for her using Geo. At this, all the Vision bearers within the vicinity gasped in shock. Well, except the ones from my world that is.
"Just how much control do you have over Geo?"
"I'd say quite a lot." I said as I demonstrated it by making a Geo dagger. "See? What's so shocking about it anyways? It's normal, isn't it?"
"I mean, it is normal, but that's for people who had their Vision for years now! If the time in your world is the same as mine, wouldn't that mean you've only had Geo in less than a month?"
"Well, yeah. That was the same case with my Anemo though? I mean, look." As I said that, I made an Anemo Halberd. They all looked at me ridiculously. I sighed and made seats and tables for everyone. I motioned for them to sit and they did so wordlessly.
"Now then, let's talk about how you defeated Osial. Let's also add how you defeated Dvalin while we're at it." I said as I made a seat for myself and sat on it.
"Um, okay…" Lumine began recalling the event that transpired during those times. How she fought Dvalin with the help of Venti*, Diluc*, and Jean*. With just that information, I could already tell that the way they defeated Dvalin was different. She said they defeated him in that platform thingy and the next part, she didn't want to tell. I wonder what it was.
Anyways, as for the Osial fight, everything went so fucking differently. Firstly, Osial came out AFTER her fight with Childe. Secondly, she had to actually fight the Fatui that Ganyu and the others fought in my world. And lastly, they had to sacrifice the Jade Chamber. She even had the help of the Adepti as well. That brings me to my conclusion…
I am ridiculously overpowered. Not as overpowered as I was then, but I'm getting near there.
"I see, a lot of things went differently. Well, for me it went like this…"
I then explained to them how my Teyvat was more modernly developed. To prove this, I showed them my phone. I was relieved to learn that it still had power. Even if we don't have reception, the phone is still useful for pictures. Anyways, I continued on explaining how I went into Teyvat High and how I defeated Dvalin with only the help of Venti.
"Don't forget the part about you dying." Barbara interjected as she took a sip of her tea.
"...What now?" Lumine said with a confused look. Everyone else, besides the ones from my world, looked confused as well.
"Ah, well you see. I died during my fight with Dvalin. Though, it was mostly my fault for not paying attention to my surroundings all that much. Luckily, Venti brought me to the nearest Statue of The Seven. If he was only a few minutes late, then I really would have died."
"..."
They were all silent. I guess that was a lot to take in. It wasn't entirely silent since the other Knights and Milelith's were chatting, oblivious to what their superiors just learned. Havria and the others just continued on chatting as well, having already known this information.
"...Isn't that just unfair? Not that I'm saying you should have died and accepted it, but still…"
"Haah, I knew you'd say something like that. Think of this, have we ever come across a world where everything is fair?"
"...No…"
"See? No matter what, there is always something that will be deemed unfair. Reality works like that. There is no fairness. Everything goes according to the way it should. Even if it's painful…" I started drifting off as I said the last part, remembering just how painful it was when I lost Lumine. If only I can change reality…
"Hon? You okay?"
I was taken out of my stupor when Havria held my hand. I looked at her and saw that she had a worried expression on her face. God, I shouldn't make her worried or stressed, it'll be bad for the baby…
"Yeah, I just remembered something." I said as I smiled, patting her head all the while. She giggled at the touch, holding my hand that was on top of her head to keep it in place. She's really adorable.
"Ehem!" Lumine fake coughed. "Anyways, if it is as you said. Then how are you able to leave school for this long?"
"Easy, Jean counted this as an 'Official Investigation' while I myself am not really enrolled since I didn't do any paperwork." I smiled. "Now, want to spar?"
Okay so, I hope that last part fixes the whole how can they leave school plothole(my friend keeps mentioning it) and now we'll see Traveler vs Traveler! Also, the Osial explaination is next chapter.
