บท 49: Zhao Fang and Zhao Mulan

Diao Chan was ready to give birth at any moment going by how big her belly was but there were still some weeks before it would really happen since she was carrying twins.

Yun would always spend time with Diao Chan after he takes a quick bath. He would lay beside her and tell her about his day while she does the same while the Tigers were lying beside them on the ground not leaving Diao Chan alone just in case something happens to her and nobody is around to call help.

Yun would try to avoid hugging Diao Chan since she needed to lie on her back to sleep. He comforted himself by just holding her hands for now.

Time passes quickly for the Zhao Household as Yun was standing outside his room with his father, brother, and sister while his mother and the female servants were inside helping Diao Chan in the delivery.

Yun was walking up and down feeling nervous as he was waiting outside for the good news that his wife and children were fine.

"Yun, how about you sit down with us. It takes its time to deliver a child even more so two. I went through the same before you. The nervousness never goes away but you need to stay calm as if you are on the battlefield. Your aura could leak inside and make the women feel uneasy while performing their duty," says Xian trying to calm Yun as Yun only sighs.

"You are right, I should trust the Heaven that it will protect my wife," says Yun as he sat down beside his father.

"I really hope they are boys. If you have a daughter, she won't be able to marry anyone," says Hua as the Zhao Family was rumored to treasure their daughter too much since Qing was born.

"If someone wants to marry my daughter, he should have a backbone and face me in a duel. If not he isn't worth her time," says Yun serious as Qing looks at her brother.

"What about me?" asks Qing as Yun smiled at his sister.

"They will have to duel both, me and Hua. If he survived the duel, he can marry you," says Yun as he was joking about it, while Qing's face turned a bit pale.

"I was just joking, Qing. If he is really worthy of your attention, we will accept it. But he will need to pass our old man to get to you," says Yun with a smile on his face as he pointed at their father.

Xian slaps his son's head while saying, "A bit more respect. I am your father after all."

They waited for a while longer when they hear baby cries coming from inside the room making Yun stand up when his father grabbed his arm and shakes his head making him sit down again.

He was twitching his left leg the whole time when another baby cry joined the first one making it two when the door opens and Yun now stood up from his seat.

"Both came out safely and are healthy going by their lungs. Diao Chan is also safe. She lost a lot of blood but she will survive it," says Wei Ru calmly as she was relieved that Diao Chan survived the birth of her children.

"She is fine then," says Yun as he sighs in relief when Yun asks, "What are they?"

"A boy and a girl. The boy came first then his little sister. Diao Chan gave them already their names," says Wei Ru making Yun smile as he knew that since they already decide on many names for all the possible scenarios.

"The names are Zhao Fang and Zhao Mulan," says Yun as he named his daughter after Hua Mulan which would be born in the future if she was real while Diao Chan decided on Fang.

Yun was escorted inside with the others when Yun sees Diao Chan sleeping with the children beside her when Yun just caresses her face while kissing her forehead before whispering, "You did well."

A smile appeared on her face making Yun think she was having a good dream as he looked at both his children but left them alone as they were sleeping beside their mother.

"We should let them sleep for now," says Xian placing his hand on Yun's shoulder before they leave the room while the servants stayed behind.

They walked into the Main Hall in which Yun's most trusted men were waiting in the excitement of wanting to know the gender of the babies.

"We have two healthy babies. The older is Zhao Fang and the younger is Zhao Mulan," says Yun with a smile on his face which revealed that Diao Chan must be alive as Yun wouldn't smile if she died while giving birth.

"So a boy and a girl it seems. Nice choice in the naming as well let's hope that Fang will come after his father and become a monster on the battlefield as well," says Dian Wei who knew Yun's strength on firsthand experience.

"If he inherits only half of my talent, I would be happy as well," says Yun as he drank some wine which surprised everyone.

Yun hasn't drunk any wine since the wedding because it hinders him from being fully functional. All retainers seeing Yun drink knew that he was happy as they lifted their cup towards him.

"May the next generation bring prosperity and happiness into our lives," says Yun as he drank another cup of wine to celebrate the birth of his children.

The very next day, Yun was holding Fang in his arms while Diao Chan was feeding Mulan when Yun says, "It seems they will inherit your beauty."

"You think so?" asks Diao Chan as Mulan was violating her nipple.

"Yes, but I at least hope that Fang inherits some of my features or he will be too girly like Hua," says Yun as his brother could pass as a woman if he dressed like one.

This made Diao Chan giggle for a moment before she felt a little bit of pain in her abdomen when she says, "Don't make me laugh, I still feel pain down there."

"It was you who imagined my brother in women's clothes," says Yun with a smile on his face.

"You are quite girly yourself if it wasn't for your muscles and height. If you had the same body as your brother you could also pass as a woman," says Diao Chan as she imagined now Yun in women's clothes making her feel pain again while laughing over what she was imagining.

Mulan finished eating and Diao Chan placed her on the bed before taking Fang who hasn't eaten yet. Yun handed him over and took Mulan and began to pet her back lightly so she releases all her gasses.

Mulan burped some of the milk on Yun's shoulder while Yun continued to help her release more air when Madam Su entered the room seeing her son's shoulder full of baby vomit.

"I can see that you are learning fast but you should use some cheap cloth to cover your shoulder when you are helping them release the air out of their body," says Madam Su as she walked over and took Mulan from her father's hands so Yun could attend other matters.

But Yun didn't leave the room as he was sitting beside his weak wife looking out for her and their children when soon Fang finished with eating and Madam Su handed Mulan over to Yun before she grabbed Fang and began to help her grandson to release the air inside of him.

"It seems she really will be a fearful enemy when I will begin to train those two," whispers Yun to Diao Chan who only giggles from seeing Madam Su care so much about their children.

"She won't be the only opponent when the time arrives," whispers Diao Chan as the next opponent entered the room which was Yun's father, Zhao Xian.

He grabbed Mulan out of Yun's arms and asks, "How is our little princess doing?"

"She is eating quite a lot," says Yun as Xian had a big smile on his face because of his grandchildren.

"And I thought I would never hold my grandchildren in my hands," says Xian remembering how Yun rejected every single girl that sent a portrays of herself to Zhending.

"It wasn't that bad," says Yun as Xian was moving Mulan around the room in his arms making Yun only sigh.

"The whole Qing incident all over again," whispers Yun to Diao Chan who only smiled.

"Did the same happen when your little sister was born?" asks Diao Chan as Yun nods.

"Yes, I can still remember how they ran behind Qing while I and Hua had to train ourselves or better said I trained Hua while doing my own training," says Yun as he kisses Diao Chan before leaving the room as he needed to attend to an important matter.

He entered his office and opened his books in which he has written down all of his expenses and income. He looked at a specific number in the book which was included a month ago.

'I still can't believe that Hua got the horse for such a cheap price. If we had brought them here we would have had to sell everything we have. But now we have to feed those horses and train them,' thinks Yun as Shadow landed on the window frame which makes Yun smile at her.

"You must be curious to meet Fang and Mulan. I will let you see them later," says Yun as he pets her.

Shadow was happy but remembered that she had a message for Yun and she placed her talon on the desk.

Yun removes the letter and reads it which told him Lu Bu's answer to his request. He sighs as he puts the letter to the side while he leaned against his chair.

"Why does nothing go as planned? He just had to ask me for he reinforcements but he clearly rejected my help saying that he is good enough to deal with them alone," says Yun as he sighs again when he writes a letter back wishing Lu Bu good luck in the campaign.

He then went to the stable that was built for the horses and sees that one horse was missing when Yun sighs again while saying, "At least one of us three is having fun."

The horse missing was Thunder which means he was outside hunting for his food. Yun then went to the training ground and finds the people training when he walked to Pang Tong.

"Lu Bu rejected our reinforcement," says Yun to Pang Tong as Shadow landed on his shoulder.

"What are we going to do now?" asks Pang Tong as Yun sighs.

"We will have to wait until we get deployed," says Yun as he watched his men train.

"I heard you became a father last night. Congratulation," says Pang Tong as Yun smiles.

"They are quite grumpy children but they are mine and soon they will look as cute as my little sister did when she was a baby," says Yun as he saw that someone made a mistake and calling him out to repeat the assignment again.

"I just hope that they never have to fight in a war even if I know that it isn't possible," says Yun as he sighs because his son will be joining him sooner or later on the battlefield to united China again.

"I should go back. They must be sleeping again while my parents watch over them," says Yun when Pang Tong looked at him.

"When do you think will we be deployed?" asks Pang Tong as Yun looked at Pang Tong seriously.

"We will be asked to help He Jin in three years to help him against the Eunuchs," says Yun as Pang Tong seemed excited that Yun was calculating into what was going to happen in the future.

"Are we going to move then," says Pang Tong excited as Yun shakes his head.

"No, we will move later. We don't want to get involved in the aftermath of the battle between He Jin and the Eunuchs," says Yun as Pang Tong was shocked that Yun wouldn't move his troops when that happens.

"Why? Are you afraid that they will die?" asks Pang Tong not understanding Yun when he sees Yun smile.

"No, but a bigger fish will come out of this battle which we will takedown. I am not interested in the smaller fishes like He Jin and the Eunuchs. I want the big fish which will spread our names through history," says Yun as Pang Tong could see an aura forming behind Yun which resembled another man with blond hair but the same eyes.

"So we are anticipating that a big opponent will appear in the future," says Pang Tong as Yun and the aura looked directly at him.

"Yes, and once he appears we will be moving as will many other Heroes that will fail to take him down," says Yun as Pang Tong could now clearly see the man behind Yun which was Arthur.

"I see that you can see far into the future but why do you think that many will fail?" asks Pang Tong as Yun and the aura behind him smiled.

"Because Lu Bu will be on the other side. He is the strongest of them all and I am the only one that can give him a decent challenge," says Yun as his blood was boiling when he calms it down and his aura disappears.

"But until then we should make sure that our troops are ready for what is going to happen," says Yun as Pang Tong nods and Yun leaves for the mansion.
