Alexander saw Evangeline closing her eyes and squinting her brows.

He gazed at the girl under him with a soft smile and sighed before kissing her forehead.

He didn't proceed with anything else and waited for her to let her guard down and open her eyes.

"Are you scared of me, sunshine?" He asked, and Evangeline's eyes immediately turned blazing hot.

It was almost as if he offended her with his comment, and he suppressed the urge to smile.

She was like a cute kitten who likes to show her whiskers once now and then.

"Scared of you? Why should I?" She asked, almost sounding in disbelief, and Alexander smirked.

"Exactly, why would you be scared of me, when I only have affection for you? Deep-rooted into my soul, shown by my body and my eyes, spoken with my mouth, all I have is affection for you," Alexander whispered and a blush immediately crept up her neck at his words.
